A few questions about ear lobe piercing?
I'm thinking about getting my ear lobes pierced on my birthday a few months from now. I'd like to know if it hurts really bad? Also how long on average does it take to heal?

it doesn't hurt if you do it professionally all you have to do is NOT move.. even though you might feel like you want to.. it hels in a week .. which means you'll have to disinfect your ears everyday and wear the first par of earrings you get for a week you just clean them with oil or disinfectant if they give you.. also you shuold realllyyy not take the earrings off after like 2-3 weeks so your ears don't get infected.. about the hurting.. you don't even feel it.. just a little pinch =]

I can't remember how long mine took to heal but it doesn't hurt badly. Just a pinch and the pain doesn't hurt bad unless the gun gets stuck which is very rare. I do suggest that after you wear your hair up and away from your hair for the first 2 or 3 weeks because your hair may be clean but it irritates the piercing.

Oh honey, it'll be over before you know what hit you! I'm sure you have had plenty of shots at the doctor by now, so your an old pro. Ear piercing goes by so quickly, you won't even remember the small pierce you'll feel! And in 6 weeks you can wear any pair of fashionable earrings you'd like! Go for it! It's a rite of passage!

Just a regular ear percing? For me I got it done when I was eight years old and I didn't reallly feel it, it was all over really fast. After one month I could change earings, but I had to keep wearing the m all the time for about a year. After a year they are completely healed and chances of infection are gone (useually after three months).
It also depends on what studs you wear while they are healing and how long it takes your body to repair from a cut.

Make sure you get it done professionally and healing is naturally faster when you avoid getting a piercing dirty or irritated. Dirt, oil and germs from fingers and fluids are the two main sources of infection. Friction, pressure from sleeping on a wound and chemicals are the most common irritants. Arbitrarily cleaning a piercing prolongs the healing process, as does getting the jewelry wet, which waterlogs the interior leading to infection and irritation

it doesn't hurt that much but it does hurt. Its like the feeling of getting shot at a doctors office but longer. You can change your earrings 6-10 weeks after their pierced you will also need to clean them every night and not touch your ears.

Okay so I can relate. When I got my ears pierced 4 months ago I was so scared. Me and my friend and my little sister went together. They were all excited but me? I was in the corner so scared and freaked out. My little sister (age 7) went first. She looked like she didn't feel anything, she didn't even flinch or blink. My friend went next and it was the same thing. Finally I went and I was crying before they even did it but then they did and I barely felt anything. It felt warm for like an hour afterwards. I'm 12 by the way. You have to wait 6 weeks to change it. Also, go to a doctor because it is most sterile and they do use a gun, at least they did for me!

So it doesnt hurt THAT BAD as long as you can handle a shot you wont feel a thing! But anways they put an ointment which numbs ur ears most of the time and you dont feel it, it took mine about 4 months too heal [my second peircing] and all i had to do was make sure i put the perscribed ointment on my pericing to make sure it healed correctly!
it was WAYYY easier than i thought dont worry i was about to run out of that store i was sooo scareed but now im totally fine withh it
ima proud wearer of 4 peircings :]
