When President Clinton was in office, did anyone threaten him as openly as they do President Bush?

Due to disagreements with his policy? Is this accepteble behavior by anyone on the Political Stage? Social Stage? Rage Against the Machine? On YA? I know people disagree with President Bush, but do people really want him killed? Isn't this a crime?

I think people were outraged at Clinton's personal behavior, but I don't remember the type of hatred that is going on now.

What's interesting is that some Democrats voted in support of the War and have since flipped, they don't seem to be held accountable by Dems. President Bush has stayed consistent and is punished for having a backbone. I believe threats against the President are illegal, but will anything be done, I don't know.

No & the Republiacn Congress never called themself

"co equal". The branches of goverment are independent not equal according to the Constitution.

Yes, it is a crime to threaten the President of the US. If they would start prosecuting the idiots then the threatening would stop or at least they would be in jail.

No, because Clinton lied about getting a bj. Pretty much about all that happened in his whole 8 years. I will say it he didn't do a ton. He certainly didn't quote that if only his dog and his wife supported him on the war he would keep going. What does that say to every american in a whole. If everyone in here said that we shouldn't be there and even if his BB Cheney told him we shouldn't... he would still be there. That seems kind of Caesar like don't you think? People are sick of the lies and corruption to the point of wanting him dead. I don't disagree with people that don't like him telling them how to live and spending our hard earned tax dollars on what makes his dog happy. People are saying enough is enough.

I have only seen one idiot on YA who wanted to see him dead. Other than that people have sense enough to know that is not how we do things in America. We have other methods of dumping our leaders such as impeachment. People who have attempted or completed assassination of a US president are mentaly ill. From John Wilkes Booth to Squeeky Fromme to the one caught with a gun trying to get over the fence during the Clinton years. The best deterrant to assassination for Bush is that Cheney would be president. Daddy did something similar. Imagine Quayle as president? God help us in both cases.
