Clothing storage?

I need to store some clothing. Some are winter clothes, some are summer clothes a size or two too small but too good to trash. What's the best way of making sure I don't have any 'critters' setting up a nursery in my containers. I don't want to use mothballs this time. Too much trouble getting the smell out. I am planning to use cedar, but what else will work? I need something that will keep out mice and bugs. Many thanks to the intelligent folks out there helping with this solution.

What about using those " Space Bags ", the plastic, zip-lock bags that have an opening that you attach to your vacuum hose and suck out the air. This then flattens the parcel and makes it easier to store.
