The quickest way I know of to get rid of a sunburn (and I will swear to the fact that this works every time...) is to "paint" on the contents of vitamin E capsules and take from 500 to 1000 mcg of vitamin E orally. My sons have had some pretty severe sunburns in their time (both reddish blonde fair haired irish boys) and this works every time. When they were younger they would fall asleep and wake up a little while later with complete pain relief, the burn would still be red, but the pain would be gone. The following day the burn turns a reddish brown color. Continue to take 500 mcg vitamin daily afterward until the normal condition of your skin returns, by this time it usually turns tan (even in my fair haired irish boys)! It does take quite a few vitamin E capsules to paint the surface of the burn (and this process can pull the skin a bit so take it slow), but you will only have to do this once. Be sure to put a sheet down ontop of your bedding so you done get it all over. The vitamin E will not stain because it is basically a biological although it is greasy. You also might need to have help cutting a little tip off of each capsule because you will probably get it all over your hands but if you have a good grip you can get it done yourself.
Another product that works wonders for sunburns or burns period, is Bromelain. This is an amazing supplement that is used for all sorts of sports injuries, bruising, speeding up healing time and the healing of burns. It is used in burn clinics to heal skin. You usually find it at any drug store or most likely at any healthfood store.

Yeah aloe. Also you can take a shower about every 4 hours and it will heal faster.
