i dont mean word as in how did we start calling these things im writing down "Words". I mean when people are talking and one guy says to another "word", where did that come from?

I have to write an essay about a word such as this, and im having a hard time coming up with one, it has to be a word that people would argue the meaning, such as the mentioned words "cheating" and "terrorist". PLEASE HELP

so i have a dillema, a recently broke up with my girlfriend, same night i went to a friends house and relaxed and got things off my chest, debreifed i guess you could call it. i go get into the guest bedroom, and my friends sister whom i have had on and off crushesd with for a while comes in to chet and sits in the bed with me, well we talked and talked about the breakup and what i was going to do next and she reassured me that i made the right decision and that i would be better off being single for the summer before leaving for college. she then snuggled up next to me in the "spoon" position. we got gradually closer and then things started happening, nothing quite sexual but the feling and things were there. we fell asleep and a few hours later she woke up, she climbed over me, kissed me and said goodnight before going into her room....never mentioned it again. two days later we were talking as she was getting ready to go out, and i was venting a little and explained how there were a few girls who i could think of that were the TYPE i would like to date, not that i wnted to date them, she was one because she is a very smart, relaxed, and good friend of a girl. she gave me a big hug and left for the night, no big deal. 3 days later "tonight" she tells my other friend "in confidence and he told me because thats what friends do) that it made her feel akward that i said what i said about the dating and that its weird when i hit on her, this is moments after she gives me a hug and grabs my butt "jokingly" mixed messages much?

so am i just insane and thinking she likes me when she relly doesnt? or is she just playing games do you think? or what? im so confused and i just want some analyzation from somebody on the outside looking in,,,

I need to frop an egg from 10 feet, using a structure made from only 125 toothpicks, and any amount of glue. The ideas i have had include crumple zones and using broken toothpicks as padding, what are your ideas?
