How long is the term for French Prime ministers?

Update:

Pardon the idiotic American that answered.

Clearly, I don't know enough about the French government and need to read up on it a bit. Merci, for your responses.

The term of the President of the Republique is 5 years.

There are mid-term elections as concerns the government every 2 years and then the Prime minister can change.

We will first have elections for designing our new government in June.

France has a Presient and a Prime Minister,. The President is "Head of State" and the Prime Minister is the head of the Government.

The current election is for President who serves a five year term. The President appoints the Prime Minister, but the National Assembly can revoke the Prime Minister's appointment and force the President to appoint a Prime Minister that reflects the views of the majority party. So there isn't a set term for the Prime Minister. The system is different from both the US and UK it's a little more complicated than either of those.

There isn't really a limit, the President is elected during five years and names the Prime Minister who must obtain the downstream of the National Assembly. He will remain Prime Minister until the National Assembly adopts a "motion of censure" or he resigns and if the President accepts his resignation.

    Jeez, tall chicky (above)

Are you disgusted with the French, or what?

But, you have to admit, they run more efficient elections than the US, don't they? Two months, start to finish, not a two-year circus, every two years.
