If someone were to truly hate the city in which they live, why not move?

If a person spewed nothing but vile and hateful things about the city in which they lived, what do you think would be the reason for them to stay?

Update:

Damn, I had hoped to hear from"Let's go shopping" who loves NY!

    There's always a reason.

When you are young - mum & dad.

Then you fall in love and chances are your new partner has family there.

You both hate the place, but decide you'll stay until your parents die.

By then, you have kids who are now going to school.

They have friends - they don't want to go.

So you decide that when they are old enough - then you'll go.

By now you are middle aged.

Your kids have serious relationships going on.

You'll wait until they are married and happy - then you'll go.

    Ooops! Grandchildren come along.

    Now what?

So, you decide when the grandchildren grow up - then you'll move away.

Now your 83 - now you're ready to go.

You've finished paying your mortgage - you're retired - old friends pop by for a beer and a chat - hey, life isn't so bad - maybe we'll stay a little longer?

So now, if you're lucky, you're 91, but most of your friends have gone.

"Shall we go now? What you think? Eh? "

"Okay - We'll go - but only if YOU do the packing!"

    "Okay - maybe tomorrow."

    "Okay - make it tomorrow."

"Goodnight - turn the light out will you?"

    "Sweet dreams."

I even have moved lots starting to be up and over the various many strikes I got here to attain one known certainty approximately the place you reside. It doesnt propose something, and changing it won't unavoidably make you chuffed. Happiness comes from interior your self. while you're no longer chuffed the place you're, shifting to a sparkling place ought to no longer treatment that. there's a deeper standard difficulty which you're dealing with. That being stated, i'm relatively tempted to end my job and circulate to a sea coast in the South Pacific precise now! Haha. the only ingredient retaining me lower back is that i even have an amazing job the place i'm! it relatively is a problematical determination: stay with a staggering job probability or throw warning to the wind and run international huge taking area in myself with a stable pal and entrepreneur. Hmmmm... Kinda leaning in the direction of the circulate myself! ;)

Probably because that certain someone is a whiny crybaby who expects everything to be handed out on a silver platter without having to do a lick of work. Probably can't attract someone of the opposite sex (or same, if that is what floats that person's boat), either if all that person does is sit at home and watch Flavor of Love, or that sow "New York", or that Charm School program on cable.

HAHAHA....nice question. I completely agree! People nowadays are just so ignorant and closed-minded. It drives me nuts to see people who whine about every little thing. And IF you HAVE to live here, get over it! Houston is not New York. New York is definitely not Houston. There are likes/dislikes about Houston and there are also likes/dislikes about New York.

they probably arent going to move bc they dont have the money. a lot of times, no matter where you live, they arent happy with it. i live in Daytona Beach, FL and i dont like it bc it is boring, but others LOVE it here prob. bc they dont live here.

    1) Job

    2) Family

    3) Vile doesn't come from location, it comes from within. Maybe they know that if they move, they'll take their problems with them.
