Paris Hilton's Sentence is NOT 45 days--Did You Know This?
Due to current all time low funding for the Los Angeles County Jail, inmate sentences are reduced to 10% of actual time sentencing. Therefore, a 45 day sentence is 4 days in jail. Were you aware of this fact?
(Yes or No is fine, but comments are welcome along with those concerning California's own celebrity governor)
This is not due to over-crowding in Los Angeles County Jail. Additionally, individuals who are famous (i.e. OJ Simpson, Robert Downey Jr etc) are not housed with the general jail population for obvious reasons. They also receive privileges not allowed to the general jail population.

WRONG. I was sentenced to 30 days and I served 30 days. In L.A. County.

No, I wasn't aware of this. I thought this 10% reduction in a sentence was only for those serving their time in prisons not the county jail.
If California's governor interferes or intervenes on her behalf, I will be sick.
A decision like that would really make want to leave the country and move to a better place if I could. But, I personally don't know of a better place.

I live in So cal and Im not sure this is always the case.
However celebrities usually get a "nicer" jail cell. They keep showing what she will be staying in...I doubt thats where SHE will be staying. But whatever I hope she does go to jail AND serves more than 4 days! Why should she be any different. It as so funny to hear her new plea on tv today saying how she had no idea her license was suspended?! She must think were all as dumb as she is!

No, I did not know that and I am also very unhappy if that is in fact true as I sure think she needs real jail time because I believe she thinks she can get out of this due to her families' wealth. It is obvious she feels that way, or she wouldn't have immediately appealed to Governor of California. (especially over something as minor as drinking and driving, etc.) If she gets any lighter sentence, it will definitely have the public in an outrage over it.

No - did you know jails are an industry as much as any other? They can choose to reject prisoners if they want and are not subject to court regulation.
"Good" jails allow internet access if you pay them a fee. Underground of course.
On the side note, people should care. Not because it is Paris Hilton but it would be injustice if the Governer actually gave in to her request.

You probably know that she wants to get off with no time at all.
If the Governor wants to protect his reputation, he better not go along with this. It is too widely publicized. Even with all her family money, the politicians should ignore her request for no time.
It's just ashame that sometimes "money talks".

That's good information. ;-)
Although, her lawyers asked for a one-month delay of sentencing, so that they can try to get the sentence reduced even more. If they have their way, June 5 will be a day that she can laugh at. ( Ugh, lawyers. )

Either way, now she'll really see "The Simple Life".
No. I wasn't aware of it. She can afford a driver to anywhere she wants to go and she drives KNOWING she can't? She deserves what she gets.
