Take your mom out for brunch. Bring also some flowers for her. Make it a special day. Take her for a drive to her favorite place.

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

This is a really beautiful poem too!

Women have strengths that amaze us.

They carry children, they carry hardships, they carry burdens but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

    They stand up for injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without new shoes so their children can have them.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

    They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage. Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They have sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!

Women do more than just give birth.

    They bring joy and hope.

    They give compassion and ideals.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have a lot to say and a lot to give.

I wrote a poem this year, not a cheesy one but one from the heart, about how I feel about her, growing up and the (physical) distance between us.

Flowers are always the right way to go... as a mother of four children myself, the eldest 20, I can tell you that flowers and a thank you card always mean the most. (along with not having to clean or do the dishes that day!) A cafe lunch or picnic is really nice too.

Other great 'presents' include a nice cake (for a sweet tooth), or a gift voucher for a cleaning service if you can afford that much. (That would be the ultimate gift for me... sigh...) Especially window cleaning!

I suppose it is a bit late now as Mothers Day is almost over. Perhaps for next year my advice is the greatest gift you can give your Mother is your Love. I am a father and have one Son. The love of a parent for their child is one of the greatest forms of love. You will also find this out one day my dear when you have your own children. So, some small gift then a big hug and say from your heart "I Love You Mum" that is the greatest gift of all. Best Wishes - Grandpa

I'm getting my Mom two things that are tied to pictures I have taken with my camera. One is a digital photo frame that will be loaded full of pictures of her grandkids. The frame displays the pictures in a digital slideshow. The other gift is more like something I can do to brag about my Mom that doesn't cost a cent but is pretty neat. AmericanGreetings.com has a free Mother's Day service called The Many Faces of Moms (www.facesofmoms.com) where you can post an online tribute to your Mom that is displayed with hundreds of other Moms. You choose one of their Mother's Day ecards (several are free), upload up to three digital photos of your mom, and add your own message. Your Mom will get the eCard sent to her email and your tribute to her will be posted live on their site. It's pretty unique, and it's also fun to do for celebrating other Moms in your life like friends, grandmothers, etc.

A poem and a flower for each child...

    Hope is the dream,

    Faith is trusting God,

    To please us with Grace.

    His Peace is here,

    Every moment now.

    Being maternal,

    Is to provide care,

    Knowing the reward,

    Comes in the giving,

    And the true gift is,

    Having understanding,

    Of His Compassion.

    Real love of God is,

    To comfort the way,

    A mother’s love may.

    Hiddenym

    PWF

Hiddenyms are poems that have a hidden message in them. Finding the hidden message is simple. Just take the first letter of the first line, then the second letter of the second line, then the third letter of the third line, and so on to the last letter of the last line… thereby revealing the hidden message within....

well i believe anything that comes from the heart will be the best idea for a gift for Mum on Mother's Day,and what would be best than gifts that's well thought of (say a special thing that she likes best,a heart pendant for one?) or if you re into arts & crafts, make something close to her heart, like a cross stitch of the family portrait,a handmade card from the kids or a bunch of her favorite flowers, either fresh & on a unique arrangement or from colorful materials??But most of all,a warm hug & a greeting showing how grateful you are that she's your mum is definitely the simplest yet the best Mother's Day gift she'll appreciate the most!

a few yrs back i wrote a poem about growing up and mum being a huge part of that, and then i made a scrapbooking album with a line from the poem on each page with photos of my brother and I matching the parts of the poem.

I added extra pages at the back of the album so that i can add to it in a few yrs:)

These were the days before digital photo frames, so the easy way to do it now would be to use photoshop to insert the lines of the poems onto photos, and just queue them up so that it can play it over and over,

you may get a plaster hand print equipment in any craft section at walmart or a craft shop. Make a mildew of your childs hand or foot. Now right here comes the messy section. Get some unhazardous craft paint and supply your toddler a paint brush. it somewhat is advisable to do the 1st coat of paint on your person in a sturdy coloration, yet then permit your toddler paint on it somewhat is specific touches. this could be a souvenir that she will continuously treasure. living house made products are continuously the final! have relaxing!

Last year I didn't have much money (only about a dollar), and I couldn't buy her anything.. I couldn't even afford the proper "mother's day" cards because they were about two or three dollars each. Instead I bought her a "Thank You" card, and put all the things I was grateful for in it. She was far happier that I gave her that, because it showed I actually care about the things she does for me.
