Alcohol and medication?

I 'm on some prescription medications that say not to drink alcohol while taking them. I also took some paracetamol about 6 hours ago. Then mindlessly, I had one glass of wine with a small dinner just now. Is this a dangerous situation? Can i go to bed and sleep, or will i have any kind of problems?

I wouldn't do it again, but I wouldn't worry about it.

I believe alcohol intensifies the effect of the medication. It is unlikley that just one glass of wine would hurt. You should consult your doctor. I found this information which you may find helpful:

You should be fine, try not to drink though. It's because the medicine you are taking causes slowed respiration, and alcohol adds to that effect, since it is a depressent. You should sleep sound, good night.

your ok, go on to sleep and have a good night. One glass of wine will not hurt you at all.

It might not be extremely dangerous, but don't gamble on it again, I would just say you would be sick temporarily.
