I need help describing my dress for the paper?

I am going to be putting my bridal announcement in the paper and need some help. I need to describe my dress and I am not really that sure what I should say. Here is a picture of the dress if anybody can help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

http://www.allurebridals.com/dresses/full/8264F.jp...

Update:

I live in South Louisiana and the bridal announcement comes out in the paper the day after the wedding and everybody it says something like...The bride wore an a-line strapless dress with a cathedral train. Something lime that it's very common around here.

Update 2:

I just wanted to say sorry about all the mispellings in the last details I added. I was about to leave work for lunch and someone was waiting on me and I was in a hurry.

That's pretty common where I live as well.

Ask the shop where you bought your dress. Seriously! They totally wrote my dress description for me for the paper, and didn't even blink when I asked them -- they said they do it all the time. It took them twenty seconds to do what would have taken me three days.

    Hope that helps!

We put info about the dress in the wedding announcment as well. I'm guessing bridal/wedding accouncment are the same thing.

Since there is obviously a website with your dress on it, do they give some type of blurb about it? That's what I'm planning on doing when I get my pictues back. If not, go with something simple. The bride wore a strapless pick up style dress with beading accets on the corset style top (if that fits, I can't really tell just from a picture of coruse). If there was a train, add that into the end of it & the info about the length of the train.

I live in Saskatchewan Canada, and we did this too when we got married. Sounds like it's usually done in smaller communities!

I got my information from the bridal shop where I purchased the gown - they had all the "correct" information on what exactly the fabric type was, the embellishments, etc. We can't really do that just by looking at your pic. Contact the place where you got it - they could probably even email or fax you the info.

Glad to know there are others doing things the "old fashioned" way!

In mississippi we do that too, except ours comes out later and you put a wedding pic with it. I would say something to the nature of "the bride wore a white strapless ballgown that flowed into a chapel length train. The fitted bodice was adorned with beading and crystals. The full skirt featured pick-ups that were accented with matching beading and crystals." I don't know if you do this in your area, but I will mention a BREIF desciption of my bouqeut with mine, and something about the fact that I wore my moms veil. Also, if you call your bridal shop where you got it, they may be able to give you specific names for the beading or fabric or anything like that, or even do this for you! good luck and congrats!

I have never heard describing your dress in the paper. Usually wedding announcements include information about the couple. Your wedding dress is suppose to be a surprise. I would leave that out of the paper. But if you have to mention something I would just mention that it is a strapless dress by whatever designer.

I had the same problem. I bought my dress at a bridal boutique and they wrote it for me so that everything would be worded correctly. Try that. Congrats and Good Luck! :)

It grow to be incredibly reliable and you ought to bathe it in case you have been care finished. It grow to be a bypass between a `J` textile and a reliable high quality paper serviette. They got here in a great number of colorings. the type grow to be a tremendously uncomplicated `shift` yet with a pair of scissors you ought to re-type it your self. They have been merely a "fad" no longer many females had them, people who did used them in particular for donning on the disco or for the sea coast. I seem to keep in mind that between the sleek month-to-month women persons's magazines gave one away unfastened with their magazine. one month.
