It's not the last $1000 dollars that will make the difference. It's your perception of whats important and what is not. That last $1000 is not what stands between you and the street. That last $1000 is actually slowing you down. Your asking for a lifeline, you should be out right now making one. You have no money problems. You have a YOU problem. Quit procrastinating and get busy. If you end up on the street then accept a life lesson. Shed whatever it is that keeps holding you back and then jump back into the game. Good luck.

"The greater the risk the greater the reward" is a popular quote that will answer your question. If you want to turn $1,000 into a fortune, you'll have to risk losing it. Perhaps buying lottery tickets might just build that fortune you are seeking or your homelessness will come alot sooner. Since that's not a very practical option, let's take a look at your skills and interests and how they might meet the needs of your street, neighborhood, city, state or country. If you can find a need and fill it, you will be on your way to fame and fortune. My suggestion is to get to the library and check out (pardon the pun) some of the books written about at-home businesses started from scratch but get on it TODAY. You'll find books that can help you take your skills and experiences and catapult your $1,000 into many thousands but it won't happen overnight. It'll cost you around $100 for your business license and some business cards. Pound the pavement to sell your products or services. Many home businesses were started with very little money but a very strong determination: Disney, Coca Cola, Microsoft, Lillian Vernon, etc. You don't need investors if you believe in yourself and your abilities. What can you do to make the lives of others more complete? Help them save time, save money, make money, or have peace of mind. Take that advice mixed with your passions and you can turn your $1,000 into millions but it's easier to do that while you sill have a home so get busy... TODAY.

Look for a temporary assisted living educate yourself take non credit courses for free & improve your skills get a job after that .Keep the $1000 invest that on yourself maybe nice clothing on your future job interview & use it when you only need it. Don't gamble that money on anything because $1000 won't go far these days. But If you insist buy a beat up car but reliable for $500 & get a job on waiters on wheels you'll earn good tips & you'll be back on your feet in no time. Goodluck my friend

Get a job. Then see a reputable investment adviser. Put the money into a respected growth stock and forget about it for a few years. Let your investment grow. Work, work and work so that you can save up more money and add to your nest egg. It will be well worth it in the end.

Go to a large Catholic Church. meet with the priest, and find out where donations to the poor box go. Then give him the money and tell him that is all you have, then ask him for help.
I suggest the Catholic church because it is an audited supervised organization with many people involved in the handling of donations and care for the poor. Hence, your money is likely to be well used and you are likely to receive assistance.
