If you never had your ears pierced, how do you know you can't stand the pain. It just stings for a second. Sometimes they can pierce both at the same time and get it over with. It is not that bad just go for it!

It's not painful. Its just a sting and your ears turn bright red for a minute but then its over with. You can even get both your ears pierced at the same time so it won't hurt as much!

Dont' worry about it, its not going to hurt too much.

All you feel is just a little pain at the moment, just for a minute, then your feel your ears get hot.

Just go home and put some ice on your ears, this will help to ease the pain if any and help keep sweeling down.

You can also put ice before piercing them, this will numb your ears and you wont feel anything...i've tried this and it works.

I pierced my ears in my junior year in college. I was afraid to do it for a long time, even though I wanted it. When I actually gathered all my courage and went on, I was surprised how little it hurt - I almost didn't feel anything at all. A more difficult part was healing - it didn't hurt either, but I couldn't take any pressure on my ears and could only sleep on my back for several nights.

Anyway, if you are afraid, don't do it. I think it is actually worth it, but wait until you feel ready.

A friend of mine got her ear pierced by going to a hospital and using laser. I'm not sure how exactly this is supposed to work but I suggest you do some research.

Ear piercing doesn't hurt as much as you think it does. I swear.

    Source(s): 8 piercings to date. :-)

Use emla cream or some other numbing cream for about 2 hours before the piercing... mine didn't even hurt!! My ears just felt hot for a few hours after.

I don't recall any pain associated with getting my ears pierced. I did what I was told to do to prevent an infection afterwards and it was fine, no complications, no pain.

honestly, pierced ears doesn't hurt that bad at all. it just hurts for a few seconds, as they do it, but hen it's just a bit sore until it heals. if you're really nervous, hold your ear to an ice cube before getting it done, it will numb the area

You should numb your ears before getting them pierced. You can numb them with ice. Getting them pierced doesnt actually hurt all that much if its your first hole. You just feel a sharp pinch and then your ear gets really warm.

getting your ears peirced isn't as painful as it sounds... just ice them after words for an hour or so and you'll be fine. you will forget all about the pain in a few days and it will be totally worth it. Just go for it!!
