Anthrax vaccination and birth defects?

I have posted this question before with very few answers. I am trying to find out how many vaccinated (MEN) have children with birth defects under the age of 5. Too many birth defects are showing up on base. I don't know why, but am wondering if the two may be related. Most of the ones I know are under the age of 3.

Update:

I support the military 100 percent and I applaud you for what you are doing. I am just trying to find out why, all of a sudden, there are so many birth defect in our area. The women did not get the vaccine, in these cases. Only them men. It is just so weird.

I am undergoing IVF treatment this month AND my husband just hot his vaccine a few weeks ago. My dr, who is one of the best in the nation, told me that Anthrax vaccine does not contribute to birth defects. I was very worried about birth defects too!

Anthrax is an acute infectious disease caused by the spore-forming bacterium Bacillus anthracis. Anthrax most commonly occurs in wild and domestic lower vertebrates (cattle, sheep, goats, camels, antelopes, and other herbivores), but it can also occur in humans when they are exposed to infected animals or tissue from infected animals.

The anthrax vaccine is not a new thing. Although the media has made it seem that way since it was introduced to the military. Veternarians (especially rual vets) and cattle ranchers have been taking this vaccine for decades as a preventative, Due to thier exposure to animals.

well i am a women , and i had the anthraz vac. but my child doesn't have any birth defects , my husband had the vaccine also. you should consider that most of these women are dealing with a lot of stress during deployments, the support of your husband is very important during pregnancy, most army wives are living like single mother every other year if not often. take that into consideration, women are putting too much stress during pregnancy which is bad for the baby

I am in the Army and took the vaccine. As A Woman I did think "what if" but the immidiate danger presented a question in my Mind as well. If I died what would it matter? Like any Medication No Body ever Knows for Sure...... Life is a series of risks......... I Hope for all these families we made the correct decision...

Both my ex-wife and myself had the full series of shots...everything including anthrax....no birth defects for our son when he was born, and our son turns 4 in October.
