Let's compare. Who got the worst Mother's Day present?

My husband was trying to be creative and buy something different for me this year, so I have to give him credit for that. However, he thought for Mother's Day I would enjoy a Bartender's Guide book, Margarita mix, Jose Cuervo, these little mini margarita popsicle makers, and a glasses and pitcher set, margarita style of course. He should have just given me a card that said Happy Mother's Day, Ya Big Lush! I mean what do I say when people at church ask me what I got for Mother's Day?! So let's hear it ladies, what is the worst Mother's Day present you have gotten?

He took me looking for a new car, but wouldn't let me buy the one I wanted. He kept saying everything I chose wouldn't pull his boat!!!!

Mine sucked. Spent the whole day cleaning house and doing laundry. My sons (ages 7 &4) made me some cards and pictures and wished me a Happy Mother's Day. That was nice, it made me smile.

Hubby on the other hand, had nothing. Didn't even say it to me. HE, not me, got to sleep in on Mother's Day. That's a bunch of bs.

He had to work yesterday til 10 pm. When I got up this morning there was a card, a candy bar, and some flowers for me. How fn nice. A day late of course. Still pissed off about it and he knows it too.

Why is it SO hard for men to PLAN AHEAD??? It's not like it's on the calendar every year for them to see???>>>>

Still frustrated and mad at him. I told him this morning he's got a lot of making up to do.

    Hahahahahaha.....awesome!

From the husband, I received a box of airport gift-store candy; I also had the good fortune to work all day, come home, make dinner, and clean up after!

I know my hubby and kids love me and all, but what a craptacular day!

On the positive, my son made me a wonderful picture frame at school, and the excitement he could barely contain in presenting it more than made up for the rest of the day!

Let's see, for the 3rd year in a row my husband and my 14 year old daughter FORGOT Mother's Day altogether. I got not one card, not one e-mail, not one text message from family or friends. My 4 year old son was the ONLY person who remembered and told me Happy Mother's Day.

I spent the entire day cleaning out our garage and attic! Vacuuming, dusting, cleaning out closets, doing laundry, and cleaning cabinets and not one person in my house even made a comment that it looked nice! ON MOTHER'S DAY NO LESS! I know they all love me and appreciate me but COME ON!

Just wanted to add something here. I don't expect gifts or my family to buy me anything, just hearing the words would have been good enough for me. My oldest is an artist, draw me a picture, write me a poem, CLEAN YOUR ROOM or something! I know I am not my hubby's mom but I am the one who carried his children, went through endless hours of labor, gave birth to them and stay home to raise them. All 3! The least he could have done was tell me Happy Mother's Day. Every year I send e-mails, cards, text messages, out to all of my friends and family and in-laws that are Mother's wishing them a happy day....

Yeah, don't get me started....this was my very first Mother's Day, I have a six month old. First off, my husband came and woke me up early, saying he couldn't sleep the night before so I would have to get up to be with the baby. Then he woke up about 2 pm, and after about another hour, he told me "Happy Mothers Day". Then he got called out to work, so he went to buy gas. He came back with a card from him and one from my son, and 2 Reese's candy bars. He handed me the cards and actually said "As you can imagine, the pickins were pretty slim!"

ARGH!!! This being my very first Mothers Day, couldn't he have planned ahead?

Someone above said their day was "craptacular." Me too, girlfriend, me too.

Sorry - I actually had a nice day! My daughter is only 2, and I'm not with her father. So I was concentrated more on my mom and what to get her and everything, that I kinda kept forgetting that I'm a mom too! LOL Anyway, my daughter (aka Grandpa and Grandma) got me a nice balloon, card, a very pretty silver heart locket that I LOVE! and a bag of swedish fish - which I also love! lol So yeah, it was a nice day, spent it at my parent's house, drama-free! lol At least your husband cared enough to get you something! I'm sure my mom has received things like that (not exactly like that, but you get the idea lol) and I'm sure I will too in the future.

Well, I did buy MYSELF flowers. My kids are only 7 and 8 so they made me homemade gifts which was nice. My husband acts like it didn't even happen.

I don't mean to offend or make anyone mad, but Mother's Day shouldn't be about gifts and flowers. It should be about being a mother to great kids. I'm not my husbands mother so why should he get me a Mothers Day gift? My kids called me and wished me a Happy Mother's Day. That was enough to make me happy. At least they were thinking of me. My kids are grown and on their own. I don't want them to spend money on me if they are struggling with living on their own and raising their own kids. Which they are. Spending time with my husband alone and doing something we both enjoy was also enough for me from him. Also, I apologize if I offended anyone or made anyone mad.

I don't think that Mother's Day is about the presents.

My Mother's day could have been better if I could have had my husband there to share the day with...however, that did not make it the worst...I had a great day.

I got cute little things from my mom, (soon to be) mom-in-law, and my son made me a picture frame, but my lovely guy, who bought his mom roses, but gave me a copy of "Catch and Release" Not exactly sure where that came from cause it is about a girl who's fiance dies and she falls in love with his best friend from what I read... I'm really lost on that one!! But he included candy and a really nice card!! haha give them props for trying!!!
