Illegal Immigration?
How many believe that we are being sold out by our government? The cheap labor is no longer cheap and why doesn't everyone get it? In a time of terrorists, why are we willing to let people who break the law, live here without concequenses? I can't accept the lie that they are hard working people who do the job lazy American's won't do. We have people that would do those jobs. It's just no one wants to be accused of descrimination, so they hire mexican's first and claim we are lazy. We have a plant here that hires just mexicans. You have to speak spanish to work there and I have applied and was turned down, because I can't communicate with the illegals. Yes, there are good ones, but the bad ones out number the good ones.
Sorry for the soap box ~ here is the question
Are you willing to write to congress and sound off on illegals in our country?
If so ~ www.whitehouse.gov
Just so no one gets put out. My family are immigrants......... just legal ones.
I tried to sue, not enough evidence (my word against theirs) and the ACLU said that it didn't affect more people, so they wouldn't help. Sad, the "A" in ACLU stands for American, maybe they should change their name.
For Rja ~ The people that I am talking about are criminals. My grandparents came here poor, yes, but they worked, earned their citizenship and spoke english. We have illegals in our town that have been here for over 12 yrs and still can't speak english. Laziness or sheer spite?

Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !

Please, your American ancestors, all except for Native Americans, came from somewhere else.
Many came in steerage and without a passport.
Your own countries abandoned yours, exiled them, discriminated against your ancestors, persecuted and tortured them.
Now Americans have the audacity to round up hard working undocumented workers, attempting to live a better life in America, separating them from their children and shipping them off to who knows where.
How can you not stand with those, who like yours, come here in rags and wish for the opportunity to make a life like your grandparents made for you.
No one wants unregulated immigration. That's crazy. But immigration IS America and should be invited to come in, in an orderly way to contribute to the next great advances in Americal society. Bring me your poor.....please!.

criminal immigration is the approach the position human beings attempting to enter the U. S. stick with immigration regulations and stick with for visas, and so on. to enter the country. unlawful immigration takes position at the same time as human beings sneak in like thieves contained in the evening, as in chinese welded into the metallic holds of field ships that run aground on long island and Mexicans sneaking by the southern border devoid of regard to the regulation. And sturdy grief, birds do no longer immigrate, they migrate, that's travelling with the seasons. Mexicans might want to subsequently be better authentic referred to as unlawful migrants.

Already have and continue to.
Bottom line, it's up to US, yes, WE THE PEOPLE.
If we do not continue to push and communicate our desires and needs, then they will do nothing as cooperate America will continue to push for the abusive labor practices they can puch on illegals.
America is the greatest country in the world. It is up to us to keep it that way.

I do write letters... regularly. There is strength in numbers, we need to get everyone who cares about this issue to do so. Thank you for asking this question, and for reminding everyone that we as citizens do have the tools to try to change and fix things!

you should have sued the plant for discrimination. you would have had a real good suit against them, no one else is allowed to discriminate against any potential employee for such an act. i write all the time, and yes there is power in numbers, so don't stop!!
