Enjoy it while it lasts!! My daughter was born in September 2006 and I am still breastfeeding her and I haven't had a period yet. I thought I did the month after she was born, but it was really all the excess tissue/blood that my uterus was getting rid of from pregnancy. Breastfeeding (as long as you haven't ovulated and your baby is under six months old) is actually a pretty reliable form of birth control (see link below). However, I still don't trust it, so I'm on a progestin only birth control to make sure.

I had my daughter March 9, 2006 and didn't start getting regular periods again until July. I started getting periods in May and they were very short sometimes they would last a few days and go away and then come back again a few days later, it was really irregular.

It's different for everyone. It could take you a while or it could just snap back into place right away. I had my daughter in january and had no period until July (I was nursing) and it was a nice 28 day cycle right off the bat. I think I was lucky though from what my friends have experienced.

If you are breastfeeding, you could be one of those women, like me, that doesn't get a period until you quit nursing and your milk supply completely dries up. I quit nursing my baby 2 months ago and I still haven't gotten my period. With my first one I got my period 4 months after I quit nursing. Every body is different. If you are that worried talk to you gyno.

It might take some time for your hormones to normalize. If you think that you might be pregnant, take a pregnancy test. Right now is the EASIEST time for you to get pregnant so use protection!! Your period will normalize within a year. Just keep track of it and you will be fine. If you think that you have a problem, just ask your doctor.

it will take up to 3 months to become regular again, maybe longer depending on the person. everyone is different.

Also, have you had un protected sex ... because you can get pregnant again ... 6 weeks after you have your baby... you can concieve so becare with that too. just give your body time to adjust! you'll be fine! :)

If you are nursing your period might not come for a while or be very irregular. If you aren't nursing, your uterus probably isn't back to "regular function". Give it a couple months to let your body re-balance itself.

It will take a few months, if you are breastfeeding it can take a little longer.
