I need tips on quitting smoking & body tetox!?
I have been thru all the meds, am allergic to the adhesive in the patches (causes blistering on my skin) and the gum is NASTY! I have been told that quitting cold turky while doing a 1 week body detox (like a juice fast) can work great since the detox helps flush your system of the nicotine. Has anyone ever tried this? And do you have a plan for the detox you can share?
Thanks!

You could try the Lemonade Diet, you'd have to research about it for all the measurements of the ingredients but it really flushes stuff out and I bet it would work for you. Good luck and don't give up!! :)

I would not recommend the juice fast because try being hungry and fighting that urge to smoke, which curbs your appetite. I smoke more when I'm hungry and I think fasting would make it twice as hard. I'd probably hurt somebody.
I've quit before for long periods of time (then stupidly I start up again) and it seems like the best thing to do it finish a pack and just not buy more, and the first day will be tough so keep lots of regular gum around. The nicotine gum is nasty and I think it's too much at one time. But after the first 3 days the cravings drop off dramatically and it starts to feel GOOD not to smoke. And It does help to take a walk when you get the urge to light up. Your body is looking for that little surge of endorphins which can also be attained by exercise, sex, laughing, and high calorie intake. I don't buy the whole detox thing as being that important to quitting. Yeah, your body has toxins in it but it's the nicotine that's the monkey on your back. Your body cleans itself out over time, especially if you aren't continually comsuming toxins, you just have to get yourself to ignore this urge til your brain quits looking for the stimulation. Quitting is the easy, not starting again is the hard part.

Have you heard of Chantix?
It suppresses the brain receptors which tell you "you need a cigarette".
It seems a better approach than the medications which actually put nicotine INTO your system, then slowly decrease the amt.
Generally, you take it for a week before quitting, so it can get into your blood stream. Then, depending on your own response, continue taking it for 1 to 3 months.
I took it for one month (after 35 years of smoking!).
I haven't had a cigarette in over a month and don't want one!
My Dr. said he's had other patients who've also had success with Chantix.
One person said, "Chantix does everything but take the cigarette out of your hand!"
Best to you.

The best detoxification is raising your Glutathione. Glutathione is a molecule naturally occurring in every cell of the body. It is responsible for the proper functioning of the immune system, detoxification, recycling of antioxidants and several other things. In a nutshell, Glutathione is our first line defense against toxins we are exposed to on a daily basis, viruses, bacteria and diseases. The only natural product that is clinically proven to raise Glutathione is Immunocal, a bioactive whey protein that delivers cysteine (building block for Glutathione production) to your cells and your body does the job it was designed to do. Immunocal is made solely from unpasteurized cow's milk and has no side effects, contains less than 0.1% lactose, so it is safe even for lactose intolerent people (I understand you are concerned about allergy reactions).
My husband takes Immunocal and the detox of his body resulted in his thinning hair growing back. If you'd like more info, please email me.

do you know that the chemicals in a cigarettee are so toxic that, if those chemicals spilled on the ground, that a environmental toxic squat team would have to come clean it up...no kidding..
and, your putting that in your mouth...
