Of course I care and all human should care bout earth. That's the place we step on, the place we live for our life. As you can see the effect of global warming is a big impact for us. Or you can imagine like 'The day after tomorrow' this is possible to happen but maybe not in one day time. Climate change, Ice melting in antartica, raised of sea level, flood, frequent hurricance etc. We can't ignore all this signs.

Recycling do help, so try to do so if you havent started yet. The more practical thing is don't waste the natural resources and don't produce large amount of waste product per day. I dont want to live in the moon X.x Maybe next time we'll see earth as a moon lol.

*With respond to the answer below, the research paper you shown is only 1 of the minority report. And 1 report cannot beat the truth we see and there is so much paper works on global warming. The paper says increased of CO2 can help the growth of plants but we knew that plants undergo photosynthesis at the same time they also need respiration (O2 inhaled). Overall CO2 produced will more than CO2 used up. And it is true CO2 play a role on maintaining temperature of earth at night but what we discussed about global warming is 'too much' CO2 consequently too much heat trap in the earth. That causes the effect of global warming. Movie is sometimes a mirror to the future. Nothing impossible in this world. Sorry, I just want to make the points clearer, no other means X)

I dont care at all for the Earth. The reason is because in another 1 million years, the Earth will have completely recovered from whatever we did to it and would be as if we had never existed. That is why I do try to take care of the Earth, not for its sake, but for ours. No matter what we do to the Earth, it will regenerate, but we would only be killing ourselves.

However I do not believe in global warming-I find that there is sufficient scientific data to prove that this is a normal course of the Earth's existance. Granted, we may be cutting holes in the ozone layer, but that has a minute effect on what people call global warming. There have been studies that indacate that the use of hydrocarbons is not harmful to the atmosphere, but on the contrary can be helpful. Our emissions are doing nothing harmful to the atmosphere. The only reason everyone is saying this, is because people are suckers for drama and panic. This is a site where I get much of my information from:

    http://www.oism.org/pproject/s33p36.htm

So as a concluding statement, I do recycle and I do participate in other acts of preservings the Earth, but it is not for the Earth. It is for the human race.

Its an important question, each one of us should ask ourselves this question.

All life forms owe their existence to this unique planet known as earth. We must be thankful to "nature" that created this planet and bestowed it with all ingredients that were required for creation of diverse life forms and also gave resources required for their sustenance. Our tomorrow depends on today and for this we all must CARE and LOVE our planet earth.

I recycle little, in fact "recycling" is a perforce activity in 3rd world country or the so called developing countries like India to which I belong. Recycling in developing countries is out of compulsion arising due to low income to expenses ratio (<1) in comparison to developed countries where this index is on an average 2-3. As a result garbage and pollution generation will always remain very high in developed countries due to higher level of per capita consumption of natural resources or value added products in comparison to developing countries like India.

In the developing countries people use value added products beyond the productive life of the “product” and discard it only when it cannot be repaired. So this large disparity in income to expenses ratio moves the recycling in both the domains differently and has to be perceived accordingly. Though per capita income in India has increased over last one decade or so which has given a boost to consumerism and attendant garbage/pollution generation. But, here again, low efficiency and poor flow sheets or production lines are responsible for generating more garbage per unit consumption of natural resources. Most of the recycling in India is neither voluntary nor organized at present. It is the developed countries that are de-greening earth, if I may coin this term, by very high per capita consumption of natural resources or value added products. However, my contention remains that we all must care for this unique planet for our sustenance and for the progeny.

Yes I do love this unique planet called earth.

The earth is important to me, i recycle... I can't believe we are devestating our world, with our dangerous emissions and i believe we should do something to fix it immediately

My town was one of the first to recycle. The local high school picketed McDonalds and made them stop using styrofoam cups.

given that without Earth there are no humans, I'd say it's pretty important
