Anybody else find this creepy as hell?
I just found out that the people who lived in my childhood house before my family (my parents still live there) owned a monkey, and when it died, they buried it in the front yard.
I've read that monkeys kept as pets are good luck, but ugh! There's a monkey buried in the front yard! That seems...really freaky. Am I overreacting? I don't care if I am. Isn't a monkey buried in the front yard creepy?

It'd be a lot creepier if it wasn't buried.

I'm curious about how you found out, and why didn't the person tell you where? Could it be under a sidewalk or something now? It is odd that they buried it in the front but if there isn't much of a backyard it would make sense.
Also, I need your permission to use one of your previous answers. Could you email me, please?

Well, honey, if you go back far enough on any piece of land there is something a lot creepier buried there than a monkey. We haven't always been as 'civilized' as we pretend we are now.

You understand don't you, that it's now just dust and perhaps some old fur? What's your beef with monkeys? Creepy would be if it climbed out and started swinging on the tree branches. Otherwise it's just a formerly living animal.

A pet is a pet is a pet. This is really no different than any other beloved animal, say a cat or a dog being buried on the land that you may be occupying.
Don't forget, the land really belongs to all....man and beast.

I don't think it's creepy... I mean... how many things have probably died on the lawn front/back over all the years that WEREN'T buried? birds, snakes, cats, mice, etc... not to mention, if you wanna get technical - you could be living on land that wars and battles were fought on like where I live at.. we still find Indian arrowheads!

You know what would scare me if I found the bones in the attic or something.
Burial covers and respects the body of dead or deceased. They made an effort to bury and conceal.

a number of those porcelain dolls that persons deliver jointly are frightening because of the fact the eyes and face are so useful. this is not the case now to have regularly occurring toys we've ghouls and extraterrestrial beings whats all that approximately. they have those balls now that are rubber and once you squeeze all of them blood and what appear as if cockroaches come to the exterior placed me off nutrients for existence. I agree that that chucky doll has lots to respond to for I also have a mate who can't even seem at a a clown and could no longer even communicate approximately them.

No, a lot of pets end up buried in backyards, frontyards! Maybe unhygenic! Previous owners should of recouped it and dispose of it more proper for the new tenants.

That is really creepy. Who buries pets in the front yard? Nomally they buried them in the back. If it was me, i would move because that would bother me all the time.
