Do you think that the world will ever stop global warming?

Even if it begins with small steps - like the US signing the Kyoto treaty - do you think it'll happen? How will it affect us as an economy? How will you take part?

    Every negative attitude about global wraming hurts the likelihood of positive changes on a global scale being adopted. Humans are crazy in thinking that they must be guaranteed success before they really try to change. All positive change comes with a let's see attitude.

    Ever stop? Is stops and starts all the time. In the 1970s, for example, all the hoopla was about global COOLING. We were told a new Ice Age might be starting and people were being scared to death. (That coincided with low activity on the sun--few sun spots.) Scientists have compiled figures going back over centuries, I mean centuries, and it just comes in cycles. One spell lasting several centuries back in, oh, the early medieval period, I think, was much warmer than now and the polar bears did not die and human culture thrived. Then there was a Little Ice Age about the years 1400 to 1800 roughly. Cycles, that's all. Pretty simple when you see the figures--and how all the temperature graphs match right up with sunspot activity.

    So all that was way, way, before humans were burning many fossil fuels and way before the earth even had a large human population, right? So it's not us, don't worry. Not much we can do about sun spots! The hype out there is only because a lot of people are making a lot of money screaming that the sky is falling like Chicken Little in the children's storybook. Even a founder of Greenpeace states that what these global-warming fanatics are saying has nothing whatever to do with scientific fact.

    Source(s): YouTube video, The Great Global Warming Swindle, for the scientific facts from MIT, Harvard, Canada, Oxford, NASA, Japanese scientists, and a Greenpeace founder. Look at the graphs comparing sun spots and temp.

    Like the US signing the Kyoto Treaty? What about China and India being exempt from it? What's up with that. You want to hear something really funny, about 50 years ago scientist believed that the CO2 put in the air by the industral revolution and automobiles was going to block the suns rays and cause another ice age, seems we've gone full circle on this. And what happened last year, last year-due to global warming-we were suppose to have more Katrina like hurricains.

    The Kyoto Tready is a way for Albert (6) Arnold (6) Gore Jr (6) to aligin the world under a single government to prepare for the comming of the prince of darkness.

    NO!!!!!

    There are various views on Global Warming.

    1. That it a natural cycle the Earth goes through.

    2. That it caused by people.

    3. That it may be a little of both of those mentioned.

    A visit to the "CIA Worldfactbook" (Link given below), and look at the various "Environment-International Agreements"" of various countries.

    Here we can find many countries that may have signed a various agreements, but, as of yet, have not truly participated in the cause.

    I chose China for an example and there many to choose from.

    Here are their agreements (Not sure how Updated);

    China party to: Antarctic-Environmental Protocol, Antarctic Treaty, Biodiversity, Climate Change, Climate Change-Kyoto Protocol, Desertification, Endangered Species, Hazardous Wastes, Law of the Sea, Marine Dumping, Ozone Layer Protection, Ship Pollution, Tropical Timber 83, Tropical Timber 94, Wetlands, Whaling

    signed, but not ratified: none of the selected agreements

    Now!! just above the agreements, we read: "Environment-Current Issues";

    air pollution (greenhouse gases, sulfur dioxide particulates) from reliance on coal produces acid rain; water shortages, particularly in the north; water pollution from untreated wastes; deforestation; estimated loss of one-fifth of agricultural land since 1949 to soil erosion and economic development; desertification; trade in endangered species

    So, the answer to your question is "No"! Sorry, and welcome to the real world.

    Ha, Ha, Ha..... Are you hooked onto this idea that we can solve the Global Warming Issue by Treaty, or by Law???

    Come on. What good will a few words on a sheet of paper do?

    Let's look at reality?

    If you want to solve Global Warming you must look around you and find out what makes things hot, or hotter. Look carefully with your eyes wide open. Do not overlok things that you have seen all of your life.

    Use your education and tell us what makes some things hotter than others? Hmm-m... The color right? YES. The color.

    Black things absorb more heat than White things. What am I possibly talking about, you ask? Look at the street in front of your house. Is it white or black? Look at the highway that goes out into the countryside, is it white or black? Look at the roofs of most all of the houses and hotels and businesses in your area. Are they white or black? We can change the heating of the Earth with very little effort if we have the will to do so. It is within our grasp. What it takes is not some stupid treaty, but some actual dedication to real positive action.

    The Kyoto treaty has done nothing. Every major country that signed it has increased their carbon output while spending millions of dollars trying to cut their output, no major country could ever met the goals outlined in the treaty, it is a waste of money pure and simple. CO2 emission is tied with the GDP. If you cut your carbon output you will cut your destroy your country's economy.

    If we begin with small steps and make more environment-saving sources, like solar powered cars or even our houses, we might reduce it. I dont really think we can stop it even with EVERYBODY'S contribution because we all took this road of contamination, and global warming will keep on going.

    We can delay it by saving up resources and cleaning up our world, but I think thats about all we can do.

    I don't belive we can ever stop global warming as it is a natural cycle that as of late has been affected drastically by humans...what we can do is curb our affects on it to bring it back to it's natural cycle, don't drive as much, check your home, make sure it's as green as you can make it, recycle everything you can....on a govermental scale this will never happen as these things tend to hurt economies, only grassroot/individual efforts can start these changes...I do my part, get you to do your part and then you pass it on to the next person....we can do this!! It only takes time and patience

    There is a theory of Nichola Tesla the man who invented A.C electricity that if we increase the energy of the human race we will increase our full potential and this in essence will stop all wars and bring us into a leisure and information age...

    He was speaking of renewable energy and spoke of the neccessity of these and this was over 100 years ago

    I study Engineering in Renewable Energy and I stumbled across this concept in some of his work where he lists the importance of wind /hydro/solar and geothermal energies...This was before electricity was even really invented, he was a true genius.

    i think it will take a while but if everyone contributes, then it is possible. we should invest more in environmentally-friendly things, such as solar power or wind power for electricity. mayb the earth is also just in a warming phase becase we've had a few of those.
