Due tomorrow and having trouble urinating. Please help?!?
I am due tomorrow and as of yesterday I have been having such a hard time urinating. I am wondering if maybe the baby is engaged all the way now and just putting tons of pressure on my bladder. (he was almost engaged at last appoinment on Thursday) If I am laying down or sitting down and I stand up, it is like "I need to pee!!! NOW!!!" But then I go to the restroom and hardly anything comes out! So I have to go back to whatever I was doing still feeling like I have to pee. Then I go back to try again and same thing. It is just like I can't empty my bladder all the way. It is so frustrating. I was just wondering if this is normal or if I should call the midwife. They open in a couple of hours.

The baby is probably engaged so far that he/she is squishing your bladder. I too have the same problem. I found that it helps tremendously if you lean completely forward when sitting on the toilet. It helps alieviate the pressure from your bladder. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I'm 37 weeks and have been having that problem for a few weeks now, but only occasionally. When baby moves, then I can pee again. I would call your midwife if it has become a constant thing.

who hoo! That baby is playing trampoline on your bladder!
I remember walking around just before my due date and feeling like a dog marking every tree I had to pee so much.
As long as there is no pain when you urinate (a sign of a UTI) I am sure it is just the baby`s head engaging. Birth is just around the corner.
btw....my water broke the evening of that day

This might be kind of strange but if you could squat a little in order to release some of the pressure on the bladder from the baby it might help a little.

It never hurts to check. If you are unable to urinate for too long, it can become extremely painful, and may require a catheter to empty your bladdler. I would check on it now before there's a problem that extreme. And pregnant women don't always have the classic UTI symptoms, so they may want to check that again too since UTI are so common in pregnant women. Good luck !!

Normal.. As long as there is no burning as with a uti. Try putting a small stool under your feel to raise your legs higher when you go..It will help open up the pelvis and maybe make more room.

It sounds pretty normal...I have two kids myself. But just in case, call your midwife as soon as she opens. Congratulations and good luck!
