Does anyone else hate Answerers who can't be contacted by email?

If you want to answer strictly "practical" questions about car repair, math, grammar, etc., fine, don't provide an email address. But if you are going to answer political, religious, or other issues, and you are going to do so in an inflammatory way, including the use of false statements, disorted claims, etc., then you should have the common decency to be able to accept emails. This allows the questioner to, at least in private, rebut the insanity that you may be spewing.

I agree as well. But I have a hunch, 9 x out of 10 that these people don't care to have an open debate with anyone, and really, most of the people who ask questions like you describe probably wouldn't give you much of an intelligent conversation anyway. Much like talking to drunk people.

I suspect that these individuals troll through these types of questions and give thumbs down to all of the answers that make them out to be less than intelligent - which proves my point.

You have got to be kidding right? Anyone (and I do mean ANYONE) has the right to state their opinion without having to "worry" that they are going to receive hate mail or spam type e-mails. Come on man, if you do not like someones answer to your question, you have options: Ignore the answer, refute the answer or report abuse. Seriously, you need to realize that posting hot topic questions will sometimes get you burned! Questions are for everyone/anyone to answer and possibly, just possibly, that person is not interested in having you spout off at them for not agreeing with you.

Source(s): ps. I post questions, I answer questions and yes, I take the good with the bad. ACCEPTANCE is the key.

I agree, to an extent, that an email address should be provided to discuss the question in hand further. If ones answered question is what the person is looking for, then it would be appropriate for an address.

If you wish to rebut my question or an answer I have given, fine. I will be more than happy to carry on an extended dialogue.

IF, however, you just want to stop by and leave the e-mail equivalent of a flaming bag of dog poop on my door step, save your time.

No one is going to send me an email, calling me a f*cktard.

Those are the people who know they would get tons of responses, so they don't allow them. Every once in a while I need to disable because pervs will message. *sigh*

Its better to be able to email, I think.

Nothing to hate or like either,as it's the option for the answerer's' privacy, not all of us know all the accurate answer of questions but nothing offense to try within 'Community Guidelines' and to keep option to connect via mail can still not solve your problem,it's all about the 'Terms of Service' of Y!A

What is "common decency" to you is "stupidity" in my books. I come to earn points and I don't need a bunch of people filling up my inbox with garbage, no matter how much they think I deserve it.
