I always knew I was different.. I just didn't know the name of the category I belong, the Indigo childrens.. I found out I am one of them when I saw a show in the TV about them. I just didn't do anything cause I already knew it.. I does affect me, yes.. It helped me answer many of my questions :)

This is what I found on the internet about Indigo Children.

I'll have to think about it...right now I feel like it another excuse for people who want to behave badly.

    What is an indigo Child?

As a summary, here are the ten attributes that best describe this new kind of child, the Indigo Child

They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it)

They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others don't share that.

Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents "who they are."

They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).

They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.

They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and don't require creative thought.

They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (nonconforming to any system).

They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.

They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did").

They are not shy in letting you know what they need.

and... just in case you heard otherwise from other "indigo" sources, the designated word "Indigo" has nothing to do with the color of an aura! It is the result of scientific observations by a woman who has the brain disorder called synesthesia.

I'm more of a tannish, brown skin color.

Perhaps if I were INDIGO, I'd join the Blue Men Group.

    Why would anyone be Indigo?

Based on Megan's answer, I would say that this is a child whose parents are ignorant, spineless wusses that allowed their children to run all over them, and, for whatever reason, catered to said spoiled brat to the point on turning him/her into a worthless person with no honor, dignity or respect.

BTW, my mother never said "wait till your father gets home!" She took care of matters herself!

  • I have a good friend who talks to the spirits of hate-crime victims. I have had some odd experiences myself and can't mention these things to my parents. unless you have friends or family with these experiences, I would try to find friends online to talk to about these things. if you need to meet people offline, you may live near a new-age bookstore that gives talks about these things. best of luck to you.
