i couldn't agree more. i live in Cyprus, and like most quiet places with low crime rates, we don't assumes anything terrible will happen to us. we leave our cars unlocked with the windows open, we don't lock our house doors, we leave our mobiles on tables at cafes or in bars. You cant help but adopt that secure attitude in relaxed places. i cant blame them. coming from England, the area which they were holidaying must have seemed like heaven and they let their guard down. but no one should have the right to blame them. yes as parents they should have concerns for their children's safety but how dare anyone judge their parenting and make stupid suggestions that they should be locked up. honestly, do people have nothing better to do. all the energy they use to point fingers should be used to help fing Maddie and her abductors. since when do we blame the parent and not the criminal. i hope to God they find them with the little girl safe and sound and lock those monsters up. it enrages me to think of the abductors audacity to take a little girl peacefully sleeping whilst her parents unknowingly dine near by. like others have speculated i believe (and hope this is true) that Maddie has been taken by a childless couple hoping to raise the girl as their own. if this is true then at least we can have piece of mind that she is being taken care of and shown some humanity (for lack of word).
