When do the 40 million pot smokers get amnesty from the government?

When marijuana becomes more profitable than tobacco. Or, to put it another way, when the marijuana lobby can promise Congressmen more campaign money than the tobacco lobby. Same thing with every issue: If Republicans thought peace was more profitable than war, all they'd be saying is give peace a chance. If environmentalism was more profitable than pollution, we'd have hydrogen-powered SUVs that can go cross-country without refueling.

Why do the Republicans have the positions they have? For the same reason Willie Sutton gave when asked at his trial why he robbed banks: "Because that's where the money is." It really is that simple. Dude.

well im gonna have to say never, laws are getting stricter not lighter, but personally i dont think it should be legalized.

not because i have some moral dilema against pot but when pot is legalized people are just gonna look for a new high, and instead of seeing pot on this forum we'll see harder drugs that just scare me when i see my friends doing them.

I dont smoke pot but i used to and i dont really think its a big deal anyway that its illegal, its a misdemeaner and cops barely bust you with it anyways. just let it stay illegal so people dont start turning to other things to get that new high, or that buzz from breaking the law.

when "we the people" get off our collective butts and, by way of referendum, repeal all the marijuana prohibition laws. When all 50 states do that the fed will have no teeth and will be forced to follow suit.
