In the cartoon Biker Mice From Mars, why does Throttle wear shades?
My theory is simply; they look cool
However, I've heard it voiced that its because Carbunkle gave him artificial eyes while the mice were in his labs and he can only see with the shades. This doesn't make sense as he's taken them off several times during various episodes.
If there is an explanation, in which episode is it given?

Orginally in Marvel comic books nothing is wrong with his eyes. Even more he saves Modo and Vinnie + shout Carbunkle in arm (?).
Hover in tv series ("Once upon a time on mars" eps) it is a bit complicated - he IS injured and lost his eyesigh. Later in 'Back to mars he takes his glasses and watches "Garden of Hope." throught telescope o.o'
Maybe its all because the episodes were made unchronological.
Or maybe the injures werent that great as they seemed to be.

Like Motto and Vinnie, Carbunkle did a number on Throttle's eyes and his hand. They are ultra sensitive cyborgnate eyes. I believe if I'm not mistaken that they also become weapons in one episode. Though I could be wrong, I do remember them Glowing.

Um, ok. You are talking about a cartoon. About mice. That are bikers. From Mars. And you have a hang up that one of them wears sunglasses?
