First as long as you know that's what it is, call the doc first just to let them know. When I had one, they told me to use the gynelotrimin 7-day treatment because the shorter treatments are not as effective and the Monistat seems to work less effectively in pregnant women. I know it's icky, and I wish we could take the pill, but apparently we can't.
I added a daily full cup of yogurt to my lunch and cut down on sugar, and I haven't had any problems since then. The other old standards apply as well--sleep without underwear and I even blow dry my private areas after I get out of the shower to make sure she's nice and dry.

You can use any normal yeast infection cream while pregnant and if wont hurt or effect the baby. It is very common for pregnant woman to get a yeast infection while pregnant. You body builds up more yeast while you are pregnant. I had a couple while pregnant and was wondering the same thing.
Hope that helps you out a little.

Monistat 7 is okay to use during pregnancy (not the 3 day or 1 day). However, ask you doctor before taking anything. Your doctor may want to examine you just to make sure it is yeast. Yeast infections are fairly common during pregnancy.

Your doctor will probably recommend Monistat 3 or 7, but you should still let them know what you are experiencing first. It may be some other type of infection. My friend had a yeast infection that causes preterm labor, she had to get medication prescribed for her.

One thing I can suggest is eat yogurt, add two servings to your diet. Thats supposed to help yeast infections from starting. My doctor had me do that and it helped ALOT. Also, make sure you wipe properly and I would call your doctor and have them prescribe you whats best. I can also say that letting yourself go undies-less when you can will help. Certain kinds of underwear aggravate yeast infections. Good luck :o)
