you can convert your car(if you have hybrid to ran even more). Look at these links http://www.calcars.org/howtoget.html But it might cost you from 8000 to 10000$

Probably not. At least not a regular, street legal car with room for 4. Maybe a gas powered golf cart or something like that could get 100 MPG, but for the size and weight of a normal economy car, no gasoline engine with enough power to keep up with traffic will deliver that kind of mileage. I don't think any diesel engine could either, although diesel engines do get more power out of a gallon of fuel than gasoline engines do.

100 mpg, not yet, but Volkswage already had a car on the market that did abot 75 mpg and could seat four. It was called the Lupo 3L.

They stopped making them in 2005 so they are only available as used cars.

News sources say that Volkswagen is planning a successor to the 3L.

The VW Lupo 1.2 TDI got 78 mpg

You could spend 10,000 to modify a Prius to get 100 mpg or...

you could get 200 mpg of fuel like I do for zero.

Just get a diesel car (most get 40+ mpg (the VW 1.9 TDI gets 49 mpg)) and run 20% kerosene and 80% used/filtered vegetable oil from any restaurants in your area.

I still only get 40 mpg, but I get 200 mpg of fuel I pay for.

    Good luck!

p.s. no batteries to worry about going bad, reduces dependence on foreign oil, reduce your person impact on global warming and save a small fortune with what gas prices are.

p.p.s. You can get a good used diesel for $4000 to 10,000 and if you like it enough, sell your current car for a profit!

No, but you can build one. I remember seeing a kit car years ago in Mechanix Illustrated that used an old Triumph frame and a Kubota 3 cyl diesel engine. Looked like a small DeLorean and got about 98 MPG.

It doesnt look like you can buy a car that gets 100mpg but this article... http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/SavingandDebt...

says that people have modified priuses with extra batteries so that they can reach the 100 mpg mark, and outlines how to get started.

There are also electric cars which dont require gas at all and this company, zap, makes a car that runs on a solar panel.
