I'm at the Pitt Memorial Hospital and there is something I'd like to find out.

Today is January (01) the (11) th. 20(10).The Date is the same forward and backward.This won't happen again until February (02) the (22)nd 20(20), just over 10 Years from now.After that we will have to wait another Thousand Years, so what to do to Celebrate 011110 ?

I'm working on an RCA Big Screen TV, Model D52W20 / ATC 221 Chassis.The Set was allowed to get wet, and the Tuner became intermittent.The Picture was clear, then distorted, then clear, then had a herringbone pattern.Moving the cable didn't result in any change, so it wasn't a bad solder connection, that RCA is so very famous for.The Line Inputs, from an external source worked fine, for Hours on end.So, I removed the Tuner Board, unsoldered, and carefully removed both Tuners, and saw that there was mold on various parts of the Board, and tuners.I sprayed everything with clear Contact Cleaner, and carefully reassembled the Board, and put it all back together.When I plugged the set up, the Picture was very clear, and it was locked on Channel 19, but would not Auto Program.I switched the set off, and back on.Then, it went to Channel 2, and will not move beyond that, or auto program.It shows the scanning action on the On Screen Display, with the Double Dots going to the top of the Screen.But, it shows "0 Channels Found" and reverts to Channel 2.And, when I attempt to manually enter a different Channel, that Number will display on the Screen, but it still remains on Channel 2.I have been told that there may be a Factory Menu Setting that must be Re Programmed.This would be similar to the Zenith "Menu 9,8,7,6,Enter" that brings up "Factory Menu".Is this possible, or will it take a Factory External Programmer to correct this problem ? And, if only a Tuner Replacement will cure it, which one must be replaced ? Again, there are two. My Signal Source is from the Local Cable Company, and it works fine on all the other sets.And again, with an external input, the set plays perfect.

I have an RCA CTC 146 TV to Repair, with a Power Supply Problem.When the Set is switched on, it will play for about 30 Seconds.Then, it switches off and on, with the Relay clicking every time.This goes on for about 20 Minutes.Then, the Set finally comes on, and works fine for several Hours, with no problem.All of the Solder Connections on the Circuit Panel appear to be intact.And, I replaced a Capacitor , [10 uf at 160 Volts], in the Power Supply Area, that appeared to be swollen.No change.And, I couldn't find a Voltage Regulator on the Board.Worst of all, I don't have a Schematic.Is there a Case History on this Chassis ?

I'm trying to repair a 19" Magnavox Color TV Model RX 4240 WA 21.I've replaced every Capacitor, and resoldered the entire Circuit Panel.I've also replaced the Voltage Regulator.I dissassembled the Relay, and cleaned the Contact Points.When the set is switched on, the Relay closes, but the LED Power Indicator Light does not come on.Could the Flyback Transformer, and / or the Horizontal Output Transistor [2SD1650], with Damper Diode, be bad ? Or, perhaps a Fusible Resistor ? I don't have a Schematic, so that makes it even more "fun" ! I'm repairing it for a friend, so I want it to last.that's why I'm going through so much effort.

Tri State Modules is sold out, PTS and Partstore.com want $200-$300,more than the set [Zenith A25A65] is worth to Repair.The CRT has been replaced, and the Yoke is good.There are several Modules that will cross to a 9-1831-1 Module, but I don't know which ones.Any help would be most appreciated.

I am trying to locate a set of Axle Bearing Seals for a totally original 1956 Chevy Apache Pickup Truck. It has a 235 Six Cylinder Engine, and a 3 Speed Manual Transmission. No local Parts Stores carry them. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

I have a Nishika 3-D Camera. The Company has gone out of Business. I haven't been able to find Anywhere to get the Film Developed. This Camera was Several Hundred Dollars, and I only got 2 Rolls of Film Developed, and this was over 10 Years ago. Any Help would be most Appreciated !

Help ! Both of My Feet have become swollen and Infected.Is this Diabetes ? What Herbal Supplements would help ? I also have no Appetite.Would Drinking lots of Water Help ? Should I stay away from Soft Drinks? This started when I Quit Drinking Beer, usually 8 to 10 a Day, on the 9th of October was when I Quit.I Drank for over 20 Years, decided to Quit, and that's when My Feet Swelled up.Has anyone else experienced this ?

MY Avatar, which is a Top-Photo of My Vaporcarb Unit Lit on Fire to Prove once and for all that Regular Pump Gasoline can Safely be Converted to Propane ! It was up with no Problem for Several Days. Now, it is "Temporarily Unavailable", but it is still on My Profile Page, and 360 Page. Why has it been Deleted elsewhere ? Maybe the Content of My Question before this one explains Why ? I've come up with a way to Turn Regular Pump Gasoline into Propane. 50 + MPG, & 10 X Less Pollution with even the Largest SUV ! And even more Engine Power ! And, on any EPA-OBD II Vehicle in the USA, it's Illegal ! The Law is for a 14.7 to 1 Air to Fuel Ratio. My System, which is Safe and Compact is 100 Parts of Air to 1 Part of Fuel. Same as Propane.On a Molecular Level,all Petroleum is the same.Only the Dispersal is Altered.If I'm Wrong,then how is it that Engines do Run with Expensive,Cumbersome Propane Tanks?I'm not the First.Far from it.Proof can be found at http://energy21.freeservers.com/bookrep.html My System Works, but Thanks to the EPA-OBD II Law, it's Illegal ! I got a very nasty Note from US Cellular informing Me that I must give up My beloved Bag Phone, or Pay a "Non-Compliance Fee " if I elect not to give up My Bag Phone, that all Cell Phones must now be GPS , per FCC Rules.I Posted this Question before, and one of the Responses I got stated that My Original Contract is binding, and They can't cut off My Phone, legally. If and when I get a New phone, then and only then will I be Forced to get a New Phone. Aslong as My current Phone works, US Cellular can't deny Me Service, or force me to get a New Phone. Could Someone please Quote Me the Rules and Regulations on that Issue, and let Me know just what my Rights are, so I can inform US Cellular? Since this is an FCC Issue, the Rules should be the same all over the U.S.A., right? Please let me know ! Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

I have a Bag Phone that I am very Happy with.It's an Audiovox,probably one of the last made.Very Compact,much smaller than My first One.I like the Tone Quality,Signal Strength, Dialpad, Display, everything.And Ican carry it around. And 12 Volts is very easy to find.Laugh if You want, but when the Local Tower was knocked out after the Hurricane,My so-called Antique piece of Junk worked when others failed! There is a "Slight" difference in .6 Watts, and 4.0 Watts! Try telling US Cellular that! I got a Very Nasty Note from them, along with My Bill, informing Me that I Must Buy a New, GPS enabled " Big Brother" Phone for My own good!They say that It's an FCC Public Safety Regulation, but they don't say which Regulation! Also, in addition to buying a Phone that I don't want, I have to extend My Contract by Two Years! And, if I don't go along with the Program, I'll be charged a "Non Compliance Fee". I already pay for the 911 Surcharge on both My Cell Phone Bill, as well as My Landline Bill.!
