I was a victim of bank fraud, I set up one new account on the other account I upgraded security. Help Please?
I get 500 emails a day I was naive to how many bad people are lurking out there. I like to shop on line and never had trouble, unfortunately I am always in a crunch for cash I did not even know on-line payday loans existed. They have crooks behind them, I did one loan and was barraged with offers up to 500 emails. Then I got a fake check for 5,000 from a Canadian lottery? I did not dare cash that check but I was unable to keep up with the crooks. I had a fake check go through my bank account and everything bounced but I was on it like a hot potato. My life is hectic right now my mom has cancer and it has been rough. I am not very organized any ways. At least my bank was awesome about it they gave me all my money back. It is a pain to have to change my account with one provider I do not now how to close the old ones. Before I even had the fraud I requested to be removed from the mailing lists....unless thats how they got me.

I'm sorry, WHAT WAS THE QUESTION?
Sounds like your in a tough spot.
If you want to close your old bank accounts contact each Bank and let them know You need to close them. If some are actually Your Mom's account then She will need to call and close them. If an amount is considered "due" You'll have to pay it (unless you contest it as part of the fraud case, then the account won't be "closed" until the case is).
If you want to get "off the mailing list" for the fake checks, lottery scams, and fraudulent job offers (like transfering money through your account for someone in another country), SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE.
The problem is they are already breaking the law, so Who's going to MAKE them take You off? And why would they listen if You ask? It's like asking a mugger not to take your money after He's knocked You down...
You'll just have to be careful like the rest of us. Remember:
1) You can't win if You don't play (any contest/lottery/etc You DON'T REMEBER ENTERING is a scam).
2) If it an offer sounds too good to be true, it usually isn't...

online payday loan sitess can often provide the money overnight. rules and rate limits can vary from state to state, so ask or shop around. sometimes even a pawn shop would be better than a payday loan. I used this site when I was needing a loan. These types of loans are high risk thats why there are high interest rates. payback a loan as soon as possible. it is never really all that simple since each persons situation is different. Some places will let you roll over the loan but this is risky. always use a payday loan cautiously.
Good luck.

Having to deal with ID theft and fraud can be draining to say the least.
I'd suggest that you follow an ID theft checklist, such as the one found here:

Best of luck!
