This is one of my favorite sandwiches:

Deli sliced Turkey Breast (warmed in a skillet w/ a little olive oil)

    Sourdough bread

    Tomato

    Swiss Cheese

Put together and cook like a grilled cheese sandwich.

I know, sounds too simple to be so good, but I guarantee that it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

There are so many varieties of sandwich you can make but here’s a particularly yummy one (or at least I think it is):

Grilled Chicken Panini w/ Black Olive Pesto

1 large boneless skinless chicken breast

    1 cup Italian dressing

1/2 cup arugula leaves (or spinach if arugula can’t be found)

½ cup roasted red peppers, sliced, drained

4 slices of fresh mozzarella (or packaged store bought if you can’t find fresh)

½ cup black olive pesto (recipe follows)

2 Thomas’ Square Bagel Bread (or a large foccacia is good here), split

    Olive oil

    Black Olive Pesto:

    1 cup black olives, pitted

    1/2 cup grated Parmesan

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    1 teaspoon minced garlic

In a food processor puree the olives, Parmesan, olive oil, and garlic until smooth.

Can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks in an air tight container.

    Yield: 1 cup

    1. Marinate chicken breast in dressing for at least 1 hour. Grill, when cool enough to handle, slice diagonally.

    2. Spread pesto on both halves of bread.

    3. Layer chicken, arugula, pepper, and cheese.

    4. Top sandwich with other ½ of bread. Brush outside of bread with a little olive oil.

    5. In a pan (using another heavy pan to weigh it down), a sandwich press, or indoor grill, press sandwich until toasted, heated through, and cheese is melted.

    Enjoy!

here's a couple of sandwiches that my family enjoys...

    turkey reuben

    1 tb Prepared mustard

    4 Slices of rye bread

4 oz Sliced cooked turkey breast

1 oz Sliced swiss cheese, halved

    1/4 c Sauerkraut, drained

    Vegetable cooking spray

Spread mustard evenly on each slice of bread. Place 1 turkey slice on 2 bread slices. Top each with cheese slice, 2

tablespoons sauerkraut, and a slice of rye bread. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray, place over medium heat until hot. Add sandwiches, and cook 3-4 minutes on each side or until bread is evenly toasted.

    Baked Stromboli

1 loaf frozen bread dough - thawed

    5 ounces ham

    5 ounces smoked turkey

    5 ounces swiss cheese

    1/4 cup mayonnaise

    1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Roll out thawed bread dough into a rectangle Spread mayonnaise down the center of the dough. Sprinkle with dry onion and Italian seasoning. Layer with 3 slices of Swiss cheese, 6 slices of ham, 6 slices of smoked turkey. Then add 3 more slices of Swiss cheese, 3 slices of ham and 3 slices of smoked turkey. Slice slits into the dough 1 inch apart on each side. Cut in to the center where the cheese and meat are layered. Wrap the cut pieces up around the meat and cheese and then criss-cross them one on top of the other. Continue down the length of the sandwich. Beat the egg whites and water together and brush the top of the loaf with the mixture. Sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake in a 375 F. oven for approximately 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Better served warm, but may also be served cold.

    Cholesterol King Heart Stopper

The ultimate Super Bowl party sub. This is intended to feed approximately 8 people and weighs in at over 6 pounds. A loaf of French bread is layered with 6 pounds of meat and cheese, with one or two vegetables thrown on for good measure.

    INGREDIENTS:

1 (1 pound) loaf French bread,

    halved lengthwise

    4 tablespoons butter, softened

    1 clove garlic, minced

    1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    1 head lettuce, shredded

    1 pound sliced cooked ham

1 pound sliced deli turkey meat

    1 pound sliced cotto salami

    1 pound sliced mozzarella cheese

    1 pound sliced Swiss cheese

    1 pound sliced provolone

    cheese

    2 tomatoes, sliced

    1 sweet onion, sliced

1 (10 ounce) can pitted black

    olives, sliced (optional)

    1 (4 ounce) jar sliced

    mushrooms, drained (optional)

    1 green bell pepper, seeded

    and thinly sliced (optional)

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F . In a small bowl, mix together the butter and garlic. Spread garlic butter on both halves of bread, and sprinkle liberally with Parmesan cheese. Place in preheated oven until cheese is golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.

    2. On the bottom half of the bread, place a layer of lettuce. Alternating between meat and cheese, arrange layers of ham, turkey, salami, mozzarella, Swiss cheese and provolone. Add a layer of tomatoes, onion, black olives, mushrooms, green peppers and anything else you like. Place the remaining half of bread on top.

    3. Place the sandwich on a cutting board, and slice into individual servings.

To switch things up, start at the foundation. Skip the normal bread and opt for wraps, pita pockets, and focaccia.

Basic turkey can be dressed up with sun dried tomatoes, ham with Gruyere or Havarti cheese (dill Havarti rocks), and chicken with hummus. Pretty much anything you have in your fridge can go on a sandwich. Try spaghetti on rye. It's creepy, but very tasty.

I get one at subway thats really good, its called an Italian BMT

when I make them at home, we get white hoggie rolls, genoa salami, smoked ham and pepperoni. you can use any kind of cheese, we usually have white american or provolone. spicy brown mustard is good, but you can use any condiments you choose. put the meats and cheese on the hoggie and toast in the toaster oven until bread is browned and cheese is slightly melted. top with your choice of condiments and enjoy.

What i hit upon very scrumptious, is chopped crab sticks, blended with mayo (so its like a sauce in itself) You cover the bottom element of the bread with the crab, then you positioned lettuce, white onion, and pink onion onto it. The results of the onion is scrumptious, it provides it a crunchy texture, and with out it, the sandwich would not flavor as nice. in case you don't love crab, I also do an same sandwich, substituting the crab for coleslaw, its scrumptious nevertheless :)

I just recently became addicted to smoked turkey and havarti on a rosemary bread. I use just a tiny bit of mustard and mayo on it. And I toast the bread. I also love bacon and tomato on a bagel with cream cheese. Growing up my favorite was peanut butter and banana. (not toasted or grilled.)

horseradish -cheddar and roast beef on grilled rye is delish.

i also like turkey on a panera roll with a few slices of bacon, some red onions, a little cream cheese on one side of the roll, and a little canned cranberry sauce on the other side.

another good one is grilled chicken on any type of toasted roll, with chili paste on one side and terriyaki sauce on the other, add some onions and a slice or two of pineapple and you are set. this would also be good with a white cheese melted over it.
