Can anyone help me?

Hi guys! I am trying to set up my 360 page. I need help.

Does anyone know how I can make the lettering in different colors and also in different fonts?

I would also like to know how to make the backgrounds in the boxes on the page in different colors too, especially black.

I would love to make the boxes glossy black with a red or blue outline around them.

I know. It's true. I'm an idiot. Help!

If you want to, you can click on my 360 spot on my Answers profile page and take a look. I have me and a background and some art I like, that you can look at but that's about it.

My lists of favorite movies and TV shows look boring. I want to do something bright and colorful with interesting lettering.

Can anybody tell me how to do that?

I would appreciate it SOOOOO much.

OH! By the way, anyone want to add themself as a friend to my 360? I would LOVE that! Friends...I need friends too!

Thank you for reading this♥

You can change your background and fonts in the same place. In terms of fonts, you can change the blast, main text and module title fonts.

If you choose to customize your background/fonts, you can't use the preset Yahoo! theme. It's either one or the other. You can switch back and forth though.

If you've NEVER WORKED with your custom theme before:

After logging into 360, click on the "My Page" link next to your "Home" link. Then, at the top under that line of links is the word "Theme: [name of whatever theme you currently have]." Click the "Change Theme" link that's directly under those words.

On the new page that comes up, there's a paragragh stating "Select a Theme - Change the look of your Yahoo! 360° page by picking a theme. Click "Apply Theme" to make the change." Directly under that click a link called "Customize Your Theme." A new "Customize Your Theme" window will pop up where you can insert .jpg pictures or files as well as customize colors and fonts.

If you HAVE WORKED with the custom theme window before:

Click the "Edit Custom Theme" link toward the top left of your "My Page."

As far as colors go, I copy and paste color codes from this site - http://www.december.com/html/spec/color.html . It's just faster that way. You can also type the word "transparent" instead of a color code, so that your background shows through. OR you can just click on the little box next to the right of the item, move the color scroll bar up and down, then click around in the color square with your mouse.

I used an image from http://www.mandolux.com/ for part of my wallpaper. He specializes in photography. Then, I searched on - http://images.google.com/ - to add some elements to the mandolux background with a photo editor like Microsoft Paint or Photoshop. Try to get a 1024 x 768 picture to minimize tiling if you choose that option (go as high as you can on the vertical dimension ... 1200 to 2000 pixels to prevent any tiling at all and to use as a single image). I used the same background for the top and bottom image and ended up with one break in the page. If you want many breaks, then use a smaller image or reduce the size of the one that you have in a photo editor.

Here is a directory of wallpaper/background sites: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2006/12/07/selecte...

You may want to try joining these three groups, as they may provide some good tips as well:

    http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/makingyour360mo...

    http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Y-360-Friends/

REMEMBER: Your background picture must be JPEG formatted (.jpg, .jpeg, or .jpe as the extension) and under 250KB in file size.

TIP: If you are browsing public 360 pages and you see a theme that you like, click on "Make This Theme Mine" link to overwrite your theme with that one (located just above the counter on the Top Page - left side). This excludes pictures the person may have uploaded (i.e. images in the background).

    Good luck! Enjoy!

Honey this is just real easy to do.. no problem at all..

click onto mypage at the top of your 360 page and choose edit my custom theme from the option at there at the top of the page.. if it is not there then just click the edit my theme.. and it will take you to a page where you can choose the option to customize your theme.

this brings up a box that you can choose your background colors and then upload a pic from your puter

just remember it has to be jpg file format and no larger than 250 kb.. the colors are so easy to get .. it gives you a color bar to get the color you want.. no need to go looking up codes... it does it for you or you can click the little box at the bottom for tranparent page color and let your background show through.. this is kind of hard on the eyes but it is also a reat way to show off a really great back ground pic.. play with the tileing or stretch or top and bottom image thing till you get it right.. have fun!
