Windows XP Home w/ AMD Athlon 64 x 2 Dual Core?

I am gutting and wanting to upgrade my PC to an AMD Athlon 64 x 2 DualCore system. Will Windows XP Home support this setup?

Thanks, I hope this goes well. My old mobo/cpu failed. Not sure if the PS went bad and fried them or not. Just going to replace it all. $$$
