We're going skiing in late Feb. I have looked online and am shocked at how high the lift ticket prices have gotten. $105 for BC?? Anyway, I was wondering where/if I can find any discounts on lift tickets? Can you buy BC tickets at King Sooper or what about any of the sporting goods stores?

Or even tickets for Breck or Keystone? I found some good deals for Copper and Loveland.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 that was running Vista. I upgraded to Win 7 and had some problems, so I tried to do a restore. However after upgrading I no longer can access the Dell factory restore ( the <F8> option). So I tried to use the restore disk, but that won't work either, it only goes so far and then stops. So now I have a $900 doorstop.

My real question is, has anyone had experience re-formatting a Dell from scratch, in other words, formatting the HD and installing a new OS w/o any of the Dell stuff? What if any are the issues? Should I keep the recovery partition?

I came to this section to see if there was anything being discussed intelligently, but all I see are the same stupid questions about "where can I watch online for free" asked over and over and over and over ad nauseam? What's up w/ that?

It seems the Hockey world (non-Wings fans) let out a collective groan w/ the signing of Hossa. Do you think it puts them in an unenviable position that any thing less than a SC Repeat will be a MAJOR disappointment? I mean, I know the Wings are expected to win every year by their fans, but w/ the addition of Hossa, I think it puts a lot of pressure on them to win or look really bad.

Also as a secondary question: w/ the signing of Hossa who is out of the Wings roster to make room?

I don't know about you guys, but I thought I was seeing things the other night when Datsyuk was throwing punches at Roberts at the end of the game. Not that he really did any damage, but it was surprising and funny. I couldn't believe my eyes!

Of course I'm not serious about the title.

Before the Pens fans start howling, I'm not trying to say anything about the Wings sweeping. I want them to win, but I'm still hoping for a better fight. Just a hypothetical question.

Just wanted to see what people thought about the influence of the Europen players on the NHL. I for one have enjoyed the improvement in skill levels of the players. There seems to be an undercurrent of people that look down upon the Euros.

Finally an interesting game. The first 2 games of each series were yawners by the half-way point. Tonight's game had me on the edge of my seat 'till the end. Of course I'm pleased w/ the outcome, but regardless, it was a great game!

Does any one know the speed of the demarcation line of the sunset as it travels across the surface of the earth?

I will be flying westward from Houston to LA this afternoon / evening. When I leave it will still be daylight here. But when I arrive in LA it will be dark. So obviously the sun sets faster than the plane flies, which is approx. 550 - 600mph.

I have a 2004 F-250 Diesel 4-Door Super Cab. For the first 6 months after we purchased it, the vehicle was getting 18mpg. Then all of a sudden the fuel mileage dropped to around 13mpg. I have gone back to the Dealer and have talked to Ford, but no one has been able to satisfactorily answer my question or provide me w/ a solution.

They just tell me that since Ford is not required to put the mileage rating on the sticker, there is no guarantee of a mileage range so basically it's tough luck.

I am trying to find out if anyone else has experienced this and if so, have they found a solution? I have tried a SuperChips re-programmer and it helped a little, but it still is not near what it was initially.

I live in Texas, and they use a material for paving driveways and such, mostly in rural areas, that I believe is a sand, clay and shell mixture. They usually call it caliche.

You can pour it and spread it like sand, but after it has sat and been compacted, it sets up very firm. I'm not sure if I'm spelling it correctly, and if it has another more official name.

I'm trying to find out if it is available in Southern California. My brother and I are looking in to a storage facility project and if available, it would be a less expensive paving option compared to concrete or asphalt.

I'm looking for a good inexpensive backup software that I can install on several different computers to back up to one external USB HDD. I need it to do manual on-demand incremental backups.

In other words I want to be able to do manual backups and only have it backup files that have been changed. I only need to backup certain folders like My Docs and some specific folders I have created. I don't need a full disk or OS backup. I just want something that will do it manually faster than sitting there and having to tell it whether to replace a particular file or not or the old "yes to all".

I have white flies real bad in my shrubs. So far I cannot tell that they are causing any damage, however they are a real nuisance. Has anyone had any luck getting rid of them?
