Installing 8 Track deck into 1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE?

Is it possible to remove the CD player and install an 8 track deck into a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE? I have the player now, all I need is to hook it up. What are the steps?

I did an 8-track into an Impala a few years ago, took some wire splicing, a bracket to fit the hole, and an amp to get decent sound, but it came out wonderfully. Also had to put a tee-tiny fuse on it since it draws almost no power.

    Good luck!

You have an 8-track deck? I didn't think they even existed anymore! Have you been able to get tapes to go with it? Why are you doing this? Am I missing something? When I think of 8-track I think '70s. CDs are so much better.

Wow in 18 year sof installing radios I have never had anyone want to put on of those in, I have taken a bunch out though. But seriously it is possible to get to work in there, GM gave you a big hole for the radio. You wold have to provide info on what you have for me to get you any better answer. I hope this helps you and good luck.
