Why does my husband keep telling me I should gain some weight?
I'm 5'5" and weigh 120 pounds, 118 on odd days. He says I look like I don't eat and for my frame I should gain at least 10 pounds. I used to be very overweight and decided I no longer wanted that after I had my second child. Why does my husband want me to regain? I don't know if this helps, but he's from Africa.

How funny. I was in the same situation, after I had my last baby, I got down to 125 lb, and I'm 5'5". My husband asked me to gain some weight back too. After he got back from Iraq i gained back 20 lbs and look alot better. The hard part is staying around 140 - 150 lbs. I don't want to gain any more eek. Good luck.

Probably because in his culture, women who are a little heavier are sexier.
Keep at the weight that makes you feel good...but don't let yourself go to the other extreme just because you don't want to be heavy again.
And 5 ft. 5 and 120 pounds is NOT too thin. You're right where you should be. I am very, very jealous!

Its hard for you I guess if you have been overweight in the past. I think most men feel a bit threatened when their partner shifts some weight and start looking good and in particular looking good to other men. He may however just love you with a bit more meat on them bones.

You sound fine to me. Skinny is sexier. I was chunky and decided that it wasn't very attractive so I started working out and have stuck with it.
Maybe try weight training. Build some muscle. Muscle weight is sexy. Flab is just gross. As long as your body fat stays low, the weight doesn't matter.

He wants you to have a bigger butt.
Maybe try adding some muscle in the glutes? Do heavy deadlifts and lunges.

For some men a heavier woman is more attractive. My husband loves curves (not fat rolls, but curves) and he hates bones.
