    Well, most commonly we eat the breast of the chicken, which is the pectoral muscle. This attaches from the keel of the bird (the sternum) to the wing (the humerus bone), just like our pectorals.

    The breast muscles in birds are extremely large in proportion to their body, because they use these muscles to constantly flap their wings and stay aloft.
