If we were visited by aliens and they wanted to know Earth's capital city to put their embassy in, what would be the best pick?
New York? Paris? London? Tokyo?
What if we had to pick a city in the Southern Hemisphere?
Sydney? Buenos Aries? Rio de Janeiro?

well, if we were to pick a world capital, it MUST be in an English speaking country, as English is the most widely used and recognized language on earth. No doubt. Not many people speak Japanese or French (compared to English that is)
So buzz off Tokyo. Bye bye Paris!
New York, and LA would be one of THE best picks for sure.
If it had to be in the Southern Hemisphere... hmm you got me stuck there :(

I'd say New York, but that's probably because I'm an American (from the West, though).
Southern hemisphere ... that's pretty hard. Probably Sidney.

Chicago. That way they are near the center of the US for their own protection.
I would hope an alien nation would be non violent but expect ignorance to abound regarding their intentions. Our world seems to thrive on hate mongering.

i'd go with New York since everything of the world has its main "capital" there, like the UN and many other organizations
