Where can I have a romantic beach holiday without the rowdy crowds?

I am hoping to go on holiday with my boyfriend in August or September and we know we want to go somewhere nice and hot with beaches, but we want it to be classy and picturesque with no tackiness or chavvy "Brits abroad" crowds (sorry to sound snobbish!). We would like to go somewhere in Europe but we just don't know where would be best. I'd love to hear your suggestions!

Taba in egypt is good. Its not near the tourist bit of sharmel shiek. It is literally in the middle of no-where. You have to take your passport with you when you go off site!

I basically returned from a Mediterranean holiday that took us to Barcelona, Naples, Florence, French Riviera. Of each and all of the places, I could desire to declare i became into inspired with the seashores around Barcelona have been the main accessible, the city provided alot of nightlife events. however the waters off Sorrento or the Isle of Capri (Italy) have been plenty greater picturesque against the backdrop of the hills/cliffs alongside the shore. Monaco/Monte Carlo became into basically desirable, yet except you're with an prepared excursion or area of the wealthy, alot the seashores have been basically crowded...yet returned the azure water against the backdrop of hills and cliffs made it a memory which will final perpetually. Now one place we went to had somewhat intense high quality seashores that weren't too cluttered...that became into Olbia, on the Island of Sardinia. it is nevertheless on the commencing up of a tourist progression area, so it became into not as crowded. examine those places out. We went as area of a Cruise, so we never had to p.c../unpack as we visited a diverse port of call every day. good good fortune and have exciting!

Maldives? - Have tried Goa but parts can be VERY overcrowded and "kiss me quick hat" culture but the upside is that it's dirt cheap and you can buy any English Premiership team shirt for a couple of quid from the beachfront stalls. Excellent as gifts for any Chavs left at home! - Ok I know it's not Europe, but the only deserted beaches I can think of in Europe are Normandy/Brittany (or Skegness) - Not very exotic!

Penang in malaysia would be a nice place to go. Firstly, accomodation, food, shopping, EVERYTHING is cheap there. Affordable. There will be no crowds if you go to the beaches over there. I think that's because for the people around there, it's not school holiday.... So people from Asia will not travel there... And hotel will be cheap during no-peak month.

Try cool and fun water activites that are typical in South-east asia like banana boat, jet-ski ( motor-ski ), kayaking ( will be more popular in Singapore ), parachute.

Cuba !! its the Bees Knees ! Unspoilt, cheap as chips and very clean and friendly with stunning beaches.

Havana is spectacular and if you get a chance go to see a show at the Co Co cabana, its great.

We stayed at a Hotel called the Maratim, not sure about the spelling, it was fantastic, best I have ever stayed in.

Anyway, where ever you go have a great time and stay safe.

    Hi...

Why don´t you go to Mexico.. Go to Puerto vallarta, Or Ixtapa, they are both very romantic places to go to.. I have been to both and Cancun & acapulco ( but the last two i won´t remcommend if you don´t, since u don´t want a million tourist around you)....

Try that out if you can, when i lived in Chicago ( born and raised but now i live in Barcelona, Spain). I went to mexico several times, the hospitality is great and the food is wonderful.... Puerto Vallarta is the most Colonial city out of the four beach cities named.. ( to me) both modern and colonial and beautiful beaches.. And Ixtapa has that in a more toned down apmosphere. so i would suggest Puerto vallarta.....Here are both links so that you can check them out..

so thats my recomendation for a nice vacation.. ! Hopefully you go and see how exciting mexico is! ( I know its not europe but its well worth it).hehehe

    Take care and good luck...

I had a fantastic romantic holiday with my husband at cayo coco beach resort in cuba . It is set in a lagoon away from the busier resorts and is far better in my view ,your accomodation is set out on the lagoon.

Yeah im in the same position...I was thinking about Santa Eulalia in Ibiza, its not too commercial and has a cosmopolitan feel about it.

When u decided let us all know cos I might copy off u...ha.
