Much time had passed from the time of the crucifixion to the time Paul visited the Christians at Ephesus in Acts 19. There was a baptism by John and a baptism into the name of Jesus. They received the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands. Do we lay on hands when we baptize as a natural part of baptizing? What are your thoughts?

After a person has accepted Christ in their heart, it is appropriate to baptise them. Most baptisms are conducted by a minister or leader in the chruch but the truth is that anyone having a good grasp on the fundamental doctrines of Christ can baptise another. There is no special annointing reserved for ordained persons. and in a pinch if you are saved by one day in Christ you could ineffect baptise someone.

Please note baptism is not a condition of salvation. you can be baptised from now until the Lord returns and unless you have accepted Him in you heart and surrendered your life to Him you wont be saved. Baptism is a form of physically identifing ourselves with the death, burrial, and resurection of Christ, The water reresents the grave, but it also represents the clensing action of the Holy Spirit as we are raised up.

There are those that practice baptism for the dead as well. This ritual is purely that a ritual that has no basis in spiritual fact. The only prerequisite for entry into the Kingdom of God is to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. A task that can be done anywhere, anytime, by anyone, and you are save, saved to the uttermost.

I have not included any references or stuff to study. This is plain christian doctrine 101. If you are being told that to be saved you must be baptised, don't believe it. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except by Him. Baptism is a physical representation of that action and is done out of being obedients to Christs example not out of a legalistic requirement of the new testament. Baptism is merely an ordance, and not require for salvation.

    hope this helps

Not everybody can baptize you. The character ought to be a Christian. It might simplest make feel that should you have been to be baptized, the only doing the baptism ought to additionally think in it. You rather don't want scripture to inform you that you simply simplest want baptized as soon as. Once you've got been baptized as a believer in Christ Jesus, are you going to stop believing? Even should you do after which begin believing once more, you don't ought to be baptized once more. Baptism is simplest an outward signal of notion, the truly baptism is by means of Jesus whom offers you the Spirit. This you ought to ask for from him. Read the publication of John.

Christ instructed the apostles to go and baptize.

Baptism is always appropriate, either child or adult.

A Priest or other clergyperson is to do the baptism.

It must be done with the formula in Matthew 28:19.

A baptism is no whoop, it's the repentance that is the kicker. Good luck.

Only after a person accepts Jesus as their personal Savior, and turns their live over to Him, do they get baptized. They are lowered into the watery grave which symbolizes the death of your former self, and rising again out of that watery grave.

The pastor is given the authority to do this by God. For God has ordained Him to be one of His Chruch leaders.

When you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, you become baptised by the blood of Christ. When you are baptized in the pool of water or river or lake, you are publically dedicating your faith and life to Christ.

Baptism is a public demonstration before your church family that you have totally dedicted your life to Jesus. Baptism alone will not get you into heaven. You first must be born again through accepting Jesus as your personal Savior.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

In the Name of the Father, the SOn, and the Holy Spirit.

Only the priest can baptize as he is under God's authority.

BUT, in an extreme emergency can you baptize a baby let's say it's out in a remote country, can you baptize with holy water, and the prayer above. Usually done if baby is in dangerous situation. Later go to a priest for formal rites.

Baptism doesnot save you. You are saved by your admittance to Jesus that you are a sinner and humble yourself to him. By asking to be forgiven for your sins. And you accept the fact that he died on the Cross of Calvary for your sins. And receive him as Lord of your Life and your Saviour . Repentence is how you are saved. Baptism is done in rememberance of Jesus. After Salvation. But not a requirement for Salvation. It is a good thing to be Baptised. You are Baptised in the name of the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.

In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Baptism does not save anyone, it is a symbol of what has already taken place when a person becomes a Christian.

It symbolises the death, buriel and resurrection of Jesus.

We die to our old way of life, and we rise in our new way of life.

Verily verily I say unto you - ye MUST be born again.

The church usually determines who baptizes. By no means does it save you. It is appropriate when someone confesses Christ as their Savior. Its done in the name of the Trinity.
