Sub/ Amp issue with a clicking noise?

I have 2 12" Kenwood KFC-W3005s with a 450 watt Kenwood KAC819 amp in addition to the stock Bose system in the 2001 Audi S4....recently the amp cuts out and makes a clicking noise that is similar to the sound of a live wire....i have replaced the fuse but that did not solve the problem and I have taken it to Sound Advice and they replaced some wiring...any ideas as to why the amp makes this noise? any solutions?

sounds like a loose wire on either the remote or power lead.

Probably the power lead. It probably vibrated loose, and the amp shut off, then it touched the terminal again, arced and the amp came back on.

If this is the case, you will see black spots on the positive terminal.
