Ok, here is the deal...I have an 01 S4 with two 12" Kenwoods, a 450W amp mounted behind my backseat, and the assembly is connected to the stock Bose system...

For the past year or so, when I turn the volume up high (decently high, nothing extreme) or when I drive over a small bump, my amp will make a clicking noise (kind of sounds like live wires) and then it cuts out...but since then I have figured out that if I hit the amp with my hand, it will turn back on...I have NO idea what the problem is and its very frustrating

PS:

*The amp and subs are 6+ years old (which could be the problem)

*The fuses are FINE

*The wiring is FINE

Any suggestions??

So recently, everytime I try to download a file, I will click "save" and it will show the download for a split second and then say it finished. It says "complete," however the download is never complete. Also, sometimes I cannot load webpages and get the error message saying that the "connection to the server has been reset," but when I refresh the page, sometimes it will work (this is the case for multiple webpages). OR the page will load half way, and then stop all of a sudden...Im thinking it could be a problem with my internet settings or a virus (McAfee shows nothing)...I am connected thru ethernet to my university's network. Help!

Also, perhaps most importantly, when my battery died, my roommate gave me a jump and *accidentally crossed the terminals on the battery...is this the cause? and if so, what is the solution?

I have 2 12" Kenwood KFC-W3005s with a 450 watt Kenwood KAC819 amp in addition to the stock Bose system in the 2001 Audi S4....recently the amp cuts out and makes a clicking noise that is similar to the sound of a live wire....i have replaced the fuse but that did not solve the problem and I have taken it to Sound Advice and they replaced some wiring...any ideas as to why the amp makes this noise? any solutions?
