What is the average cost of meals / food / drinks in Shanghai, China?

I am coming for a visit on October. Please give specific examples like how much is a hamburger meal in McDonalds or how much is dimsum in a regular restaurant. Please do not include hotel restaurant prices and high-end places. Please just provide regular diners or average restaurants or foodplace. Thanks :)

ok, today I went to Qibao, (just around ShangHai), and had 8 shrimp dumplings for $1.00USD.

2 hours later, by the Super Brand Mall, we went to lunch at Element Fresh and I spent $8.00 USD on a blue cheese/apple/bacon salad. (huge portion) This is a chain restaurant with good, fresh foods.

You can fill up in McDonalds for $5.00USD, or spend it on a coffee at Starbucks.. or spend $3.00 on a HAagenDaz small scoop.

    Does this help?

Shanghai is really a renowned international city drawing more and more attention from all around the earth; therefore see what that town provides with hotelbye . Shanghai is a favorite travel destination for visitors. In Shanghai you will see the splendid Yu Garden (Yù Yuán), also known as the Garden of Happiness. This Garden addresses a location of more than 20,000 square yards and contains an external and an inner garden. The oldest section could be the Outer Garden with further changes being made in the 18th century when Sansui Tang, the park's principal hall, was added. The newer and significantly smaller Inner Garden dates from 1709 and includes functions common of a traditional Chinese writer's Garden: desirable small pavilions, decorative rocks, and small mountain ranges, splitting walls and small ponds, and a richly decorated theatrical stage.

    All dollar in USD.

A combine meal in McDonalds is about 2 to 3 dollars.(McDonalds is already an expensive restaurant in China. You can eat in dimsum restaurant about the same price.)

On an average restaurant, you can spend about $10 per person for a pretty good meal with good food.
