Is anyone else bothered by flashing ads on websites?
Or by ceiling fans, particularly those with attached lights? These things are instant migraine triggers for me. I have complained about flashing web ads but have never had a response back. I see in the news today that they will pull the new Olympics logo because it causes seizures in some people, and I know that some animated films have the same effect. I am interested in knowing if I am alone with this, or if others have similar problems.

things like this also drive me crazy. they don't always trigger a migraine, which i do get fairly often, but they just annoy me intensely and make my skin crawl. i always try to close those ads asap without looking at them directly.
do other sensory stimuli (such as sound, smell...) also bother you? a fairly new commercial does this to me with its sound; i can't remember what it is for because i have to mute it, it has this almost pulsating sound, the first image is a woman giving birth which resonates deeply (in a beautiful way for me) but the sound -like a wave going in and out- is sensory torture for me. i think certain people are much more impacted by different sensory input -you may want to check out info about sensory integration disorder.
when you walk into certain stores (Kmart/walmart) can you hear that awful buzzing sound that the lights make?

YES! I am so annoyed by these ads. If you use Firefox, there is a program you can use called Adblock Plus. When you right-click on the ad, you have the option 'Block ad'. Very helpful, here's the link:

I have seen many of those flashy ads in some websites and they are really annoying, they make my eyes feel uncomfortable, then I see dots when I look something else.
