Does your school have....?
Lockdowns? And if so, how does it go, and what kinda of bell or alarm do you have? Mine is a 30 second school bell with breif breaks, and we have to lock doors, windows. Cover curtains, and sit under our desks, oh! and turn of the lights. I am doing a report on lockdowns. Thanks :)

We just stay on our classroom, shut the lights off, close blinds and doors, and sit there for 5 minutes, lol

Yes, all schools in the US have to have lockdowns by law. Our school principal gets on the PA and says we are going under a lockdown until further notice. But Since there was 2 situations that were real within the past year at our school they came up with a new plan. now they say We are going under an emergency lockdown. Doors get locked lights are turned off and we get under our desks. So thats how it goes at my school.
(Your still in school?)

Yes. We have a specific bell/alarm that goes off and some schools I've been to even have a code word that is said over the intercom. We lock all doors and go under our desks. We also turn of all lights, and pull down the blinds. In certain classrooms we all go in the corner away from all windows and doors.

In high school I remember lockdowns, we had them a couple times my junior and senior year. The principal would come over the intercom system and page his wife (who worked in the elementary school) and that was the cue for all the teachers to lock their classroom doors. Then the drug dogs would come through or the police would do a look through of our lockers or of the cars in the parking lot. Usually they were just done if the administration was tipped off that someone was dealing drugs or someone brought a gun or other weapon. I went to high school in a very rural town in southern Georgia, and a couple of the guys I went to high school with would go hunting before school and leave their shotguns, rifles, machetes, etc. in their trucks. Three guys were busted my junior year because of that. They had no intentions of doing any harm at school, but they still were charged with possession of a deadly weapon on school property.

Yes. We have a stupid chime sounding bell. My teacher draws the curtains and locks the door, and we have to sit under the desks.

When I was in high school, the principle would go on the intercom and say, "Dr.locke is in the office". The teachers would "locke" the door, shut the blinds, and not let kids go to the bathroom. We would do it for more than five minutes, it was more like 15-20.

My school announces it over the intercom. The doors get locked, the lights get turned off, everyone gets away from the doors, and attendance is taken. We have security guards (over-paid ID checkers) that prowl around the school and try to find the source. Then there is an all clear and we have to change our schedule to accomodate the lunches and kids who leave school early to work.

We have several short bell rings. The doors are locked and students have to remain in the class room until an all clear is given.

they dont tell us when we are going to ahve one.. they either just keep us in class and lock all the doors. or if we are walking to class the teacher yell at the top of their lungs to come into a room.. thats about all.. not specific bell or anything.
we never turn off the lights or draw the curtains or anything... theyprolly want us to die
