    CF- Mantle over Griffey

When Mantle was healthy he would have more speed than Griffey and was the best switch hitter of all times and would hit for a higher average. Defense about equal.

    LF- Williams over Ramirez:

Better hitter, better defense, and a better teammate.

    RF- Ruth over Bonds:

Bonds might actually be better than Ruth in most categories But a jerk in the clubhouse.

Pujols over Gehrig:Pujols is a monster and can do everything Gehrig could do and than some.

    Morgan over Sandberg:

Loved Sandberg but I would give Morgan a slight edge because he was always a clutch player in the Big Red Machine days. I saw them both play many times.

    Jeter over Newsome:

My team needs a leader and Jeter is it.

    Cobb over Rodriquez:

Cobb would be my leadoff hitter followed by Morgan. I need someone to steal some bases for me and already have plenty of power. Don't need the A-Rod personality in the clubhouse.

    Bench over Rodriquez:

Both are great defensive catchers with two of the best arms I ever saw. Edge to Bench because of his power.

    Randy J. over Walter J:

I only know about the numbers Walter J. put up and not sure exactly what he would give me. Randy was not hittable in his prime and I will go with that certainty.

    Clemens over Young:

Same as Randy J. over Walter J.

Complements to you on the match-ups, they really make you think.

CF- Mickey Mantle, all time great, and Jr. has never gone "beyond"

LF- Ted Williams, best hitter ever, manny cant field.

    RF-Babe Ruth, I hate Bonds

1B- Pujols, because he can be a HOF plus record holder with time.

    2B-Sandberg, because I hate Morgan

    SS-Newsome, because I hate Jeter

3B-Ty Cobb, because I hate A-Rod and Cobb was better without juice.

C-Johnny Bench, because Ivan Rod. has never gotten back to his prime after the HR derby.

P-Randy Johnson, because he is nasty.

P- Cy Young, because he has unbreakable records, and Clemens was only good when he was younger, with the Sox and Yanks.

It's just a guess, but do you like the Yankees, because you listed quite a few, where there were other players that would have made better selections?

CF - Mickey Mantle How many rings doe Jr have?

Mantle was the key player in the NY dynasty of the 50s-mid 60s.

LF - Ted Williams Greatest pure hitter in history.

RF - Babe Ruth Greatest player. Besides being the greatest slugger, also went 94-46 2.28 as a pitcher. Oh, and won 3 rings with Boston, 4 with NY.

1B - Lou Gehrig right now. But Pujols is making quite a case for himself.

    2B - Ryne Sandberg A better all-around player.

SS - Derek Jeter Ozzy Newsome? What?

3B - Alex Rodriquez Cobb played exactly 1 game at 3b.

C - Johnny Bench Set the standard. And he was better at managing his pitchers.

P - Walter Johnson Greatest pitcher ever.

P - Cy Young Won 5111 games. All-time leader by a wide margin in innings, games started, complete games.

  • CF - Griffey, if he wouldn't have been hurt I think he would have been the greatest to ever play the game.

LF - Williams, the best pure hitter in baseball

RF - Ruth, what would the game be without him?

1B - Gehrig right now. Let's see if Pujols can keep his stats up consistently over a few years and I might change my mind. 170 RBIs and the 370 average will be tough to top.

2B - I don't care too much for either but I think Morgan is better.

SS - Newsome, I think Jeter is the most overrated player in the game. His stats have never been anything impressive.

3B - Cobb, I think he is one of the greatest to ever play the game. A-Rod might go down as the greatest when it's all said and done but to me Cobb was the best, I don't care that he was an ***, the guy could play!

C - I gotta go Pudge, in his prome the best catcher to ever play.

P - Walter Johnson and Cy Young, these are two my top three favorite pitchers to ever play the game. Third is Satchell Page, then I would look at Clemens and Johnson.

CF-Mickey Mantle, injuries and drinking issues kept him from being the greatest player in history.

LF-Ted Williams, simply the best hitter ever.

RF- Hank Aaron, 3771 hits, 755 homeruns, 2297 rbi's. He's a no brainer over both your choices. But from Ruth and Bonds, Ruth of course, he hit more homeruns that some teams in any given year and his only vice was booze and hookers.

1B- Lou Gehrig, the Iron Horse, enough said, I think he was the best Yankee on every Yankee team he played on and he played with Babe Ruth and Joe DiMaggio.

2B- Ryne Sandberg, better offensive production and superior defensively over Joe Morgan, maybe Joe could call the play by play for this team.

SS- Derek Jeter, I feel Jeter is the best clutch hitter of this generation, if you need a homerun, a single to right or a sacrifice fly or bunt, Jeter will deliver and he'll do it in game 1 of the regular season as well as game 7 of the World Series.

3B- Alex Rodriguez, by the time A-Rod is done playing, he'll have 3500+ hits, 800+ homeruns, 2300+ runs batted in, he'll be the best player, statistically, to play the game.

C- Johnny Bench, he is offensively and defensively the best catcher to ever play. Pudge has been the best defensive catcher of his time but he's never been the best offesive catcher.

P- Walter Johnson and Cy Young, with these guys you can have a bullpen of 10, they will just simply take turns pitching and they will pitch 9 innings, not 6 in hopes that your bullpen will hold on for the win.

CF - Ken Griffey JR. If it wasnt for injuries, Ken Griffey JR. would be breaking Hank Aaron's record right now and would be the greatest player of all time.

LF - Ted Williams. Manny is great, but he's a head case. Ted Williams was one the best pure hitters the game has ever seen.

RF - Barry Bonds. This is killing me to say. I hate Bonds. Even before the steroids though, he was a great player with far better defensive skills than Ruth.

1B - Lou Gherig. Enough said, when Pujols hits over .370 with over 170 RBI's then come talk to me.

2B - Joe Morgan. I think he sucks as an announced, but to have his speed and defense in the lineup would be great.

SS - I dont really want either of these guys, but I'll go with Newsome.

3B - A-Rod. Best player of all time and doesnt beat up people in the crowd.

C - Johnny Bench. No comparison, not even close.

P - Randy Johnson. Most dominant left handed pitcher the game has ever seen.

P - Roger Clemens. The most dominant right handed pitcher the game has ever seen.

    Damm this is tough!

CF- Griffey better all around player (Gold Gloves!) But I would take Mayes of any of them!

LF- the Splendid Splinter without a doubt! Just one of the best hitter to grace the field!

RF- Bonds much better all around (like Griffey)

1B- Pujols but just barley more power!

2B- Ahh this is hard but I think Rhino takes it!

SS- Ozzie who? I would take Yount over any of them or maybe Ripken!

3B- Cobb he was a true gamer and did what ever it took to win! (He might have been a little dirty at it! LOL)

C- Pudge I would personally say he is one of if not the best all around catcher ever!

P- Walter without a question just more consistent!

P- Cy the guy has 511 wins!!!
