Any military aircraft in which the President is flying will take on the designation of the "branch of service 1". When he landed on the carrier the call sign was Navy 1. He normally flies in Marine Helo's or Air Force Jumbos. i ma sure unless he was doing PR by landing in a fighter jet on a carrier he would fly to US vessels on a marine or navy helo. THe Aircraft carrier capable cargo planes are uncompfortable to the 9th extreme.

What ever Aircraft he flies on the call sign becomes Air Force 1, Marine 1, Navy 1, Army 1, or Civilian 1. Depending on the service operating it.

Air force 1= any plane the president is on
Marine 1= any helicopter the president is on
Navy 1= anything that floats that the president is on
As far as I know there is no Army 1
However any car he gets in is reffered to as The presidents limo.

yes and no, any aircraft caring the president will be called "1" that means that if a coast gaurd would fly the president it would be called coast gaurd one. as of now not all branches hav had a "1" but it may. also techincaly as soon as the president steps out of air force one, it is no more, though because it's "his plane" many people still consider it to be

No - The Air Force flies his 747 and the Marines fly his helicopter. That's all....

Whichever transport his is on is automatically captioned "1" for the duration. Confusingly, his plane is always named that, but if he were to take Cheney's instead, that one would be AF1 for the duration of the flight.

Yes, Whatever he is flying on, is designated as "1", and also, if he is flying on a commercially chartered plane, that is designated as "Executive 1".
