Paris Hilton......try and imagine...?

that she is NOT the attractive, rich and party loving girl that she is, the girl who had SO many people applauding at a televised award show the fact that she was sentenced to jail for driving with a suspended license, ok? NOW, just think of her as a young woman, who hasn't hurt anyone but herself with her reputation for partying, sex tapes, etc., a girl who may not have had to struggle like most of us in life because of her wealth, who was given a 45 day jail sentence (which is far more than what normally is given), released by a sheriff, who under any other circumstances, wouldn't have been questioned about his decision, and then ordered back to court driven in a squad car, (handcuffed no less) to be told that she had to return to jail and serve out her original sentence of 45 days......would all of you people still feel that justice has been served? I have gone from not caring one way or another about her to one of her biggest advocates because of this fiasco...anyone else?

Update:

and I DO have a life that includes children AND grandchildren, neither of which I have ever promoted Paris as a "role" model...my question was intended for those who are not so quick to judge.....

    Your right.

Its simply an up rising of the poor, and media pressure to create a story, and pictures for the magazines. I honestly feel sorry for her. I think the justice department could have used her profile to highlight the issue of drink driving, without adding to this circus. People just want to see her suffering because she has money, and they envy her lifestyle, especially all the women. I just think she could have had a suspended sentence and worked on publicizing the stupidity of drinking, talking on mobiles, and / or being drugged while driving - something far too many poorer people do every week!

NO!!! She was driving with a suspended license because she didn't know it was suspended?? Get Real!!! Why was her license suspended? DUI. You say she didn't hurt anyone but herself, but check out deaths of innocent people by people who are DUI.

She didn't commit one offense, there were several, then she thumbed her nose at the legal system because she thinks she can do as she pleases.

Everything considered, she got what she had coming. I heard she was in hysterics when being taken back to jail. Why? The other day she was saying she was going to do what was right, serve her time, be a roll model, blah! blah! blah! Did she already known that the sheriff was going to let her out? Maybe someone needs to take a look at that situation. Did the sheriff fold under pressure or fold bills as he put them in his wallet?

All I can say is "Way to go Judge!!!"

At one point i did. just because she is a celebrity doesn't excuse her form punishment for breaking the law. If wee did that we would get the same treatment. I think jail will get her to rethink everything.

on the other hand, i sometomes cry when i see celebs doing those things such as lindsay and her car inccidet. I am 17 so these people are close to my age so i wonder why they do that.

    She hasn't hurt anybody?

She is an influence on the young girls of this country and her behavior is nothing but a HUGE negative.

What is she known for? Partying, living a life of priviledge because of money and does nothing constructive with it, breaks the law, breaks the law again, breaks the law again.

Have two daughters ages 12 and 14 and see how you would feel then.

I think that they went easy on her honestly.I knew someone who was given a YEAR AND A HALF!!!! for the same offense he also had similar previous charges. So I think that she was lucky, and that it just goes to prove that if you have money and a big name you can get away with alot. That's why alot these celebs do the things that they do because they think that they are invincible.
