64-bit laptop compared to 32-bit laptop?

So, since all laptops except for a select few have vista now, would getting a 32-bit laptop be better than a 64-bit or vice versa? And if I got a 64-bit I'd still be able to play like city of heroes or new games like world in conflict right?

Really depends on PRICE points for now

Always try to get the latest hardware you can afford

The only doewnside in a 64 bit chipset may be in

A Lower battery life ALSO NOTE what most over look

a 64 bit procesor will do no better on 32 bit applications

Other things like sata hard drive and video performance

    are also important.

Down the road you may need to have it repaired Do not buy any machine you can not get parts for like gateway (they do not like to sell parts and want to do repairs themselves) Also Dell is not high on the list for support even for installed apps in the first year.

Overall hp compaq toshiba are at the top of the litter (IMO)

IMPORTANT NEVER buy a new laptop for cash

many extended warranties are hard and inconvienient

    to get service on.

Think of Buying with American Express they add 1 year

to the warranty and you can get it repaired anywhere.

With your NEW Laptop also think of getting a laptop holder

that can keep it running cooler. AND can also protect it when travelling (less than 30 bucks).

Check compare and Buy what you like you now have all the tools you need to make a good decision no matter what.

64 bit is backward compatible to the 32 bit processor. it is the operating software that makes the difference Now if your expecting a great increase in performance in your gaming there will be none. because the software is wrote for the 32 bit system.

and there are very few game written for the 64 bit system today,,,

now the next question is what operating system are you thinking of Xp is ok Vista is full of bugs,, both on hardware and software. and manufacturers drivers are far and few between at the moment

64 bit computers can run 32 bit software just fine. Vista should be able to run most of your games that work in XP. You might have a few minor problems with less popular games, but most work.

You'd better get the 32-bit version. The main reason is because Windows Vista is highly incompatible with other software, and the 64 bit version will just make things worse.

    Good luck!

the 64 bit is twice as much as the 32 bit, so that means that its faster and overall better, they're 3rd party programs that wont work of course, so oh well.
